FTA: A 30-year-old paralyzed man has charges pending against him after he was involved in a wreck that injured two young children... The two boys sustained minor injuries.

While it's technically correct (the best kind of correct), tad misleading, don't you think?

If there's anything I've learned from Mario Kart, its that 150cc engines are difficult to control. Also, avoid banana peels.

My brother was killed on an ATV. We were fourteen and out jumping these ridiculous mud honey's at this abandoned construction site in our subdivision. Seriously - like 50 acres of paths and jumps. We only had one ATV, and he went up on the jump to clear a rock, but the ATV just came right down and crushed him. Those things are dangerous.

There's a guy around here who drives a motorcycle from a sidecar that he puts his wheelchair in. I didn't get a good look at how he has the controls set up, but it seemed pretty well done.
It's pretty freaky the first time you see a riderless motorcycle riding around with a guy in the sidecar.

The big six-wheel ATVs, or UTVs have seatbelts.

This guy is a weakling,
My aunt had polio. Always used a walker. Except when she was driving her Buick Wildcat. Without hand controls.
She drove to every single state on the continent and Canada and Mexico for good measure.
She hit everything in sight. Not just a tap either. I think she most enjoyed scaring the townsfolk.
Took down a wooden fence pulling into my family's yard. Demolished about 50 feet of it. Dad- "Needed paintn' anyway"

When I read that he was already paralyzed, I thought to myself, "Well, at least he can't do much worse."

Way to raise the bar, f**kwad! :-(

The dude was originally paralyzed because of an ATV accident?

Those things are death traps. Or worse -- quadraplegic-makers.

Technically, it was the abandoned construction site that was dangerous. Hense all the signage.

I was confused until I saw the model of the ATV. Someone paralyzed from the waste down could definitely ride an automatic using the thumb throttle and front brakes just fine.

We go riding out here in the hudson valley region of upstate new york every week. Fun as hell but it can be very dangerous if you don't respect the machine or the fact that you can be killed going as slow as 15 miles an hour. It really doesn't take much for things to go terribly wrong. Hell, i just rolled mine doin at least 40 because what seemed like a small grass patch was actually a 8 inch high dirt mound covered in grass. Minimal damage to the quad at least, rear plastic, grab bar, headlight casing and mount, bent clutch lever. Not too bad for it rollin end over end a few times. All i got was some wretched road (gravel?) rash, really sore back, and some whiplash. Definitely be dead if it wasn't for a helmet.

Still all worth the fun and the workout.
