HOWEVER, I have no idea wtf those two are talking about, but it sounds as though she's defending an article re: spending (200K?) and he's saying it's inaccurate because that spending was offset by a 2mil saved elsewhere? Is that true?

Because I can say that if a conservative whined that Obama spent 200k on a program, but saved 2mil in other areas related to said program, netting a 1.8 mil in savings, I'd certainly defend Obama's position and chalk up the conservatives argument to "republican nonsense".

BUT I may not be hearing the whole thing correctly. I realize it's related to ALEC, but can't tell if the savings he mentions are too.
