Just remember, 9 out of 10 experts will recommend anything you pay them to. |

Well did the front fall off? That's not very typical. |

If it wasn't water tight, how did it get to New Zealand? |

Are these the same experts that told Best Korea's leader the rocket was in perfect condition? |

It's not a fishing boat, it's a Best Korean submarine!. |

Having testified for a few depositions, I watching a couple "expert witnesses" testify who claim to be experts in my field... yeah, it's a lot different than people think. |

Just because he's an expert witness doesn't mean he's an expert in boats. |

Seriously, though, these "Foreign Charter Vessels" are floating deathtrap slave labor camps. Here's the deal: New Zealand Maori (our "Indians") have a fishing quota as part of treaty settlements. Not being interested in actually being in the trade themselves (can't blame them, it's foul work) they lease out these allotments to foreign-owned boats crewed by desperate third-world workers. These boats are under-maintained and have a long history of labor and safety violations. Entire crews have walked off due to not being paid. Passports are confiscated and held for ransom. Quota violations are commonplace. Minimum wage doesn't exist. The whole system is rotten, and the people who buy and process this fish claim they can't do anything about it or that it doesn't exist. /sorry, it's Fark, you came here to laugh and I'm being Debbie Downer, but these people are complete coonts and the world needs to know about it. |
