I love football, but draft hype lately is pretty ridiculous. NHL playoffs, NBA playoffs, baseball...this is what I want in April. I'll check who the Cowboys end up with sometime later this weekend but the rest of it? You can keep it.

As a Raiders fan, I can pretty much not worry about the draft today.......

This can't be anywhere near as exciting as the WNBA draft was last week.

I'd say they were equally exciting. Also equally exciting: snail races, paint drying, Al Gore on CSPAN

THIS.

The new guy in Chicago can't make picks as bad as numb nuts Angelo did. It's like he tried to pick busts.

Not so much that Angelo tried to pick busts as much as he thought a player's medical history had no bearing on future performance and that Lovie could solve all character issues by staring passively at the draftee.

Angelo was good at finding gems in rounds 3-5, and sucked ass at rounds 1 and 2.

The first two picks have been known for weeks in advance. What is unknown is if the first two picks will take the full 20 minutes to happen.

/if it does, then just shoot me
//that's what I hate the most about the draft: teams taking their sweet ass-time to deliver a pick to the podium
///thank God, thank Jesus, thank Buddha, thank Rama, thank Zeus that Jerry Angelo is no longer in charge of the Bears draft

Too bad the quality of players drafted drops significantly after round two. Would link to an article on fox sports about it, but I can't seem to find it.

Oh, I'm well aware that the gems Angelo did find were not exactly superstars. But the whole reason Bears fans were OK with the Cutler trade was because we knew that Angelo would throw away the first round picks anyway. But he could turn picks in rounds 3-5 into halfway decent starters (Knox, D.Manning, Melton, etc).

I'm watching tonight for one reason. Someone I know is about to become the only multimillionaire I know. Couldn't happen to a nicer kid. It's surreal, though.

Unless Ozzie trades up in the first round (doesn't seem likely this year), the Ravens won't pick until somewhere around midnight. I'll still watch because it's fun to laugh at the inevitable team(s) who screw things up.

Hoping we go O-line with the first pick, but a lot of mocks have us taking a pass rusher or linebacker. I'm okay with that, too.

at #30, are the Niners going with Peter Konz, Kevin Zeitler, Janoris Jenkins, Coby Fleener, Bruce Irvins, or will they trade up or down?

Jenkins has his issues but getting the best CB in the draft at #30 would be awfully hard to pass up. Also wouldn't complain about the safe picks of Konz and Zeitler; we're thin on the offensive line, and extremely weak at both center and right guard, so both would fill a need. Bruce Irvins reminds me a lot of Von Miller last year. Wouldn't complain about that pick one bit.

I hope the Redskins troll the f*ck out of everyone and themselves and either forget to hand their draft card in or take some completely random player in the first round.

Awesome. You actually narrowed it down significantly. So much that you might as well say it. Deduction is a powerful tool. =)

Brees to Vikings for their first two picks, we pick Tannehill.

That's how this is going to go out, because this has been the worst offseason ever.

That would be such a surreal moment. Remember when the Vikings did that a few years back? Chris Berman was beside himself when it happened.

All I know is that the Lions are going to draft to a position of strength, which means Quarterback, Defensive Tackle, or Wide Receiver. It's kind of been their MO.

As a Dolphins fan, I feel we should trade spots with Buffalo and draft Mark Barron. We need safety help real bad, and the QB pool isn't as poor as it has been in recent years.

I would pay a good amount to hang with the random player they choose. some drunk coke head, who has no clue he is even in the draft. his reaction is "do what now...?"
