As if we needed another reason to think the narcissistic people who didn't notice the crying kid and give him the foul ball were narcissistic

There are an awful lot of Farkers who seem bitter that they never got to catch a baseball as children.

You don't get everything you want just because you're young and at a game. Deal with it.

"We, as obnoxious douchebags, demand an apology for being called obnoxious douchebags."

Shame is word apparently missing from this couple's vocabulary.

I saw the follow-up on WFAA. Sweet little Cameron had forgotten about it by the next day and I think we should all follow suit.

I didn't have any problem with what they did with the ball (see Finders v. Keepers) but demanding an apology is going too far.

Next thing Pizza Tossing Guy will want an apology from Remy and Orsillo

He DID get a ball, though, which made him supremely happy. In the follow-up I referenced in my previous post, he was shown frolicking around his back yard with said ball, just happy as a clam. Cute kid, though and HOLD ON what about Cam Newton? Is he an asshole?

fark that kid. What inning was it? That awful couple probably had to turn on the ignoroshields from having the great luck of paying for tickets next to that brat for the entire game.

I actually WOULD have rubbed it in his face, and I'm not even the biggest asshole at most baseball games.

Ehhh, I can see that they might not have even known what was going on. The angle the parents held the kid at kind of shielded him from their view. And even if they noticed his crying, they wouldn't have known why he was crying. though I would have given the ball over to a crying kid regardless of the reason he was crying. Catching the ball is the cool part, and with YouTube you'll be better known as "the guy who gave the ball away" than "random fan catching ball #977273848837". (that's not why i would have done it, I would have done it cause it's right, but whatever motivates you, fame or morals, both in this rare occasion line up).

And yes, it's possible they didn't even hear the kid, he looked extremely upset, and often when a child goes max-crying, they actually go silent instead of louder.

And would you look at that, the evil, narcissistic couple even offered to give the kid the ball, and his parents refused. Can we stop feeling sad because some kid cried that day now?

They just didn't know about an unwritten rule of sporting events. If a ball gets thrown into the stands and a kid is sitting nearby. The player was throwing it at the kid. Give it up. They clearly didn't understand that.

Once again, from the thread yesterday, if you are over the age of 18, THESE ARE THE OFFICIAL RULES FOR CATCHING A STRAY BALL/PUCK/WHATEVER:

1) Stand up, hold the ball/puck above your head and show everyone around you; feel proud for two seconds
2) Find the nearest set of eyes younger than eight looking at you full of depression and misery
3) Give them the god damn ball.

ONLY ONE EXCEPTION: If its a record-breaking homerun ball. In which case, yeah, keep that shiat.

The truth is: an adult will cherish that kind of ball more than a kid who can't remember what he had for breakfast this morning.

These people acted like total dickholes, and THAT is why they deserve scorn. However, let's be honest, coddling a crying child by giving them a trinket is NOT the best course of action when raising people to be future upstanding adults. That's a big reason why people, in general, suck ass these days: because they always got what they wanted, even if they threw a fit in order to obtain it.

To be fair, the above statement was more for a foul ball.

A ball tossed into the stands should go to whoever it was aimed toward, and I doubt these two douchebags were spotted in the crowd.

Which is pathetic, because it's a farking baseball. It's not even something they did any work for, like run down a homer or snag a line drive foul ball. It's a farking baseball and anyone who "cherishes" it has farked-up life priorities.

They did try to give it to the kid later, after the camera wasn't on them. But no one bothers to check that out, the clip was enough to condemn them on national morning TV shows. Kind of horsesh*t. Also, the parents told them to keep it, they didn't want their kid getting what he wants every damn time he cries (as all parents are supposed to do).

If it's got the player's number on the ball, that's how you know it's meant for the girl. If not, it's going to a kid.
