Yeah, there was a goof-up -- it isn't like they could tell the race of the donor by the color of the sperm. However, if you can't (or won't) have kids the normal way, and you just absolutely have to have a kid or five, just be farking grateful the procedure worked. My partner has two children from a straight marriage she had prior to coming out. They have red hair and green eyes. She has blond hair and blue eyes. I am black and have black hair and light brown eyes. Guess what? None of that matters. The children are being raised with love from both of us, and her extremely-supportive ex-husband.
