He's a portly dude but that doesn't excuse the jacket sleeves being 2 inches too long. Because we've reached the point where we could no more have a reasoned discussion about Microsoft vs Apple (or Apple vs anything else) than we could Israel vs anyone. No matter what the facts of the case the passions of the adherents of the opposing sides turn it instantly into a flame war. This new MS phone could be the best ever but (a) you would never convince the Apple fanbois of that any more than Zionists would give up the West Bank, and (b) it's a freaking phone. Anyways, he still likes the iPhone best, as expected, but it does show that Windows Phone is a viable contender and that Nokia can still make a good product. It's really hard not to like Woz. When someone makes a good product, he gives them credit.

Yeah. I mean, there's a certain range of net worth and lifetime achievement where it's okay to make fun of a guy for his weight. Wozniak, on the other hand, is one of the fathers of the personal computer, has a few billion in the bank, and won an Atari competition to reduce the number of ICs on the board by proposing a design so small and tight, the production lines of the time couldn't replicate it. So yeah, he's fat, but it's only because the average human build couldn't contain the amount of awesome he possesses. Bill Gates might be King of the Nerds, but Woz is the King of the Hackers.

Silverlight isn't too bad, really. XNA seems to work fine on my phone, but then again, I haven't been gaming much in these past few weeks.

Android isn't insurmountable. The HTC One and Droid Razr Maxx are anomalies in the market, in many ways, due to their high quality. When you get down into the middle-range and budget handsets, quality control begins to suffer, and Android begins to suck. Microsoft and Nokia have given at least some stabs at the budget segment, and if I were given the choice between the Lumia 710 and your run-of-the-mill Android device, I'd far prefer the 710 in terms of quality.

However, they really, really need to get Verizon and Sprint on board. Windows Phone won't be a real competitor until then.

I had an Iphone 3gs which was ok, but I liked the new Windows OS. Switched over, and other than the occasional missing app or game, I really like it much more than the iPhone.

/Would like a bit more customization in the color scheme, but that's a minor complaint.
