| Adolf Oliver Nipples Try not to follow in grandpa's footsteps. Then again, if you fall it'll be easier to clean up, the body will already be bathed and prepped. |

The movie "Niagara" with Marilyn Monroe is worth sniffing out. Excellent film, and great shots of the Falls. (I probably shouldn't have used "sniffing" in that sentence, huh?) |

I saw that video. Grandpa dropped like a stone. Dumbass. |

| Magorn One of my favorite people in the world, a whip-smart lawyer, who used to be a naval architect and could have had a career as a professional ballet dancer should she have chosen to pursue it, decided, as a way to blow off steam while in law school to take a "trapeeze/circus arts" class being offered by the local municipal rec center in Chicago. It turned out her instructors were all Wallendas of the Flying variety. Now she's a hot-shot IP lawyer by day, Circus performer by night. Which I swear is just to give her a backstory when she decides to become a superhero. |

On March 22, 1978, during a promotional walk in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Karl Wallenda fell from the wire and died. |

I just stumbled across that film last week on Netflix. Really good stuff. My hobbies are so much more tame than Philippe Petit's. At no point will I ever be able to narrate a cooking or software programming experience with the phrase "and death is very close." /the fact that the "younger re-enactment" also included sex with a groupie amused me greatly |
