If you ask me, I see nothing wrong with it. Funeral homes are very tastefully decorated, for the most part, and they have a large room for viewings that accommodates a lot of people. The only problem is that in some states (like, say, New York), you're not allowed to have food in funeral homes as a state health department issue.

The surprise birthday party is great if it's for a really old person.

/just in case.

And what excuse do you use to get the person to their surprise birthday party?

"Your mom died, let's go pick out a casket!"

life is for living. this is good business, they are there to make money. in time it will change the stigma of the funeral home.

cemeteries are wonderful places. i grew up in a crowded overbuilt town in NJ. one of the few places we had to play in safely was the cemetery. we were always respectful of guests and never left litter. in turn, neither the church (owner) or the police bothered us.

late night cemetery sex is awesome.

I worked at a funeral home that held a wedding reception. The couple divorced six months later. Fact is that with the growing rate of low cost cremation, funeral homes are hard pressed for income, especially in high cremation areas like Florida.
