Sounds like the cure is worse than the disease considering that's what killed him. Way to go modern technology.

It takes a strong kid to make it through what he made it through. It takes a strong person to stand by a dying child. I'm grateful for anyone and everyone who goes out of their way to ease the pain of a dying child and his/her family. It really does make a difference.

Maybe it's because a colleague of mine just lost another one of his kids (8 month'old and 5 yr old, respectively) to some unfixable blood disorder, and I was in the military at one time, the image of a marine standing guard outside the room of a little kid stricken by a disease modern science can't grapple..... I'm reduced to tears......

My allergies are acting up.
