Seriously, a friend of mine lived in Japan and worked as a translator for a while. She said it's entirely acceptable for businessmen riding on the commuter trains to read the most blatantly pedo-inspired graphic-novels (comics, whatever). I know this isn't the same, but I get the idea that as long as it isn't actual pedophilia, you can depict whatever you want and its socially acceptable.
