Man, I am so glad I got rid of cable a few years ago and live in a state that's guaranteed to go GOP. /maybe not so glad about that last part |

| Speaker2Animals The TV ads I can live with, because much of what I watch is DVR'd. It's the f*cking robocalls that annoy me. |

| MaudlinMutantMollusk It's good to not live in a swing state |
||
| ricewater_stool We already get the TV ads several times every night here in MI. They are targeting the hell out of the Wheel of Fortune demographic. |
||
| kid_icarus Can't believe TN is weak GOP. /although I imagine if an earthquake swallowed Memphis and Nashville, we'd instantly go the darkest shade of red imaginable |
||
| MrBallou I hereby vow I will not watch one minute of campaign ads this years. Show goes off the second any come on. Of course, I only turn on the TV to watch "Sons of Guns" and the survival shows, and I go to the fridge for beer reloads during the commercials, anyway. |

| kmmontandon That's a pretty solid list of states that it seems to suck to live in to begin with. |

Speaker2Animals: The TV ads I can live with, because much of what I watch is DVR'd. It's the f*cking robocalls that annoy me. Came here to say this. I don't even know why I have a land line anymore. The only calls I ever get are during election season. My friends know enough to call my cell. |

| abb3w kid_icarus: Can't believe TN is weak GOP. Seems more incredible that the home of Liberty University and Regent University is classed "Weak Dem". /FL, OH, and NC seem likely to bear the brunt //I still think the Obama campaign should try and pry loose TX |

| Bathia_Mapes Would the submitter be so kind as to post which state they meant by "AS" so the headline can be fixed. I'm assuming you mean "Alaska" (AK), but I'd like confirmation. |

There is no way I'm going to see a state TV ad this year. |
||

Subby here, it was supposed to be AR- Arkansas. Yes I am an idiot. |

Step 1: Get rid of cable Step 2: Get Netflix and/or Amazon Prime No commercials for you! |

MO went for McCain in '08, so I can't see it being in play this year. However, we are going to be flooded with ads against McCaskill. |
||
| themadtupper MaudlinMutantMollusk: It's good to not live in a swing state Most of those aren't swing states. If the best the SuperPACs can do for the presidential race is shore up support for the GOP in Arkansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Tennessee, and West Virginia then that's, well...remarkable. |

You should have posted the second list--there are several Clinton states that will never go for Obama. The fixed list is: Colorado (9) Florida (29) Missouri (10) Nevada (6) N. Carolina (15) Ohio (18) Virginia (13) That's good for me, since no one will bother campaigning in my state. On the other hand, I'm still in Arkansas. |

||
| bdub77 How is NC not in this? Seriously though CU is not the worst decision the Supreme Court made in the history of this country. The third. The other two would be Dred Scott and Bush v Gore. |

Whatever. It's not like election campaigns don't already suck for the rare Kentuckians who walk upright and have opposable thumbs. |
||

Montana is arguably more in play than TN is. Rasmussen released a poll earlier this week that had Romney only up by 7. |

In Missouri here. I got send a bumper sticker for Gov. Jay Nixon. I don't hear much about what he does, but I'm sure if we had a Republican governor, we'd be in a bad a state as Wisconsin, Ohio, and Florida, with unchecked Derp. |

Louisiana wat. Since when are we up for grabs? Fffffffff |

| keylock71 That's another great thing about living in Massachusetts... The GOP knows they don't even have a chance, so they don't waste their time placing ads here. Though, I'm sure the Senatorial and 9th district races are going to result in plenty of bullshiat on the TV. |
||
| skullkrusher If you live in AR, CO, FL, KY, LA, MO, NV, OH, TN or WV, it will suck to be you this fall (and summer, and spring and winter). No need to explain further, subby /regionalist |

It will be interesting to see how the GOP Supa PAC money shakes out in the end. How much will go to hold red states versus how much spent to make swing states more competitive, "Will they attack more than they'll defend?" is my question. Pretty sure already the amount of money spent in total will be a nauseatingly large number. |

What scares me is that the Hulu "Ad Tailor" has been asking me questions about the election lately. I try to choose the answer that makes me seem as apolitical as possible. I'm hoping that makes me less desirable to political advertisers. |

M-G: MO went for McCain in '08, so I can't see it being in play this year. However, we are going to be flooded with ads against McCaskill. It took a couple of weeks of recounting for McCain to win Missouri, so I CAN see it being in play to a limited extent this year. /although it wound up being a non-issue anyway, since Obama would have gotten more than twice as many electoral votes as McCain with or without that state //they were done with the recount before Thanksgiving |
||
| Great_Milenko
They're wasting their money in West Virginia. All they need to do is send out a flyer with a cartoon Obama taking a gun from a white man. Actually, they probably don't even need to do that. |

So new poll out has Obama up 7 pts in VA. If Obama holds VA, Rmoney has to sweep PA, OH, and FL to win. |
||
| Pants full of macaroni!!
Trying to predict what the GOP ads will be like this year. Just.... imagine...... ![]() /You don't want everything to explode, do you? Vote GOP. |
