"The entire Obama campaign is a slice-and-dice operation, pandering to one group after another, particularly those that elected Obama in 2008 - blacks, Hispanics, women, young people - and for whom the thrill is now gone"

As opposed to the Republicans' beneficent strategy of maliciously and spitefully attacking the demographics that didn't side with them in 2008 - blacks, Hispanics, women, young people - right?

When Rush Limbaugh was asked for his hopes for Obama's presidency in 400 words, his response was "Okay, I'll send you a response, but I don't need 400 words, I need four: I hope he fails."

Awww... They're so cute when they are trying to pin their candidate's weaknesses on their opponent. Yes. Obama is a HUGE, pandering flip-flopper. LOL!

I honestly can't believe that Krauthammer is actually trying to make this argument here. This one massive piece of bad fiction, and it just shows everyone how desperate conservatives truly are. Seriously, Charles? I'm feeling pretty badly for you right about now. If you had any ethics or honesty, you might be worth pissing on if your head was on fire.

Directly from the article:

What to do? Try fear. Create division, stir resentment, by whatever means necessary - bogus court challenges, dead-end Senate bills and a forest of straw men.

I'm confused. I thought this was word for word from the right wing play book for how to run THEIR campaigns.

You know he didn't mean it. Things have been tough and all mixed up and mistakes were made (on both sides). Stick with him and you know he can become the person you fell in love with again. I mean, just look at those eyes.

And another tidbit:

The ethnic bases covered, we proceed to the "war on women." It sprang to public notice when a 30-year-old student at an elite law school (starting private-sector salary upon graduation: $160,000) was denied the inalienable right to have the rest of the citizenry (as co-insured and/or taxpayers - median household income: $52,000) pay for her contraception.

Why does the right keep using this as an example for ANYTHING. His statement is a fabrication, just as Limbaugh's was. In fact, it's not just a fabrication, it's an out and out lie. I realize there is the hope that if they just keep repeating a lie enough times, it becomes the truth. But really, it's in their best interest to just stop with that, already.

That's precisely where their charge falls apart completely. Does Obama pander to them? Probably. But he's also offering them something significant and relevant to their lives. All Romney is offering is, "Haha Obama is playing you so vote for me."

Good luck with that.

Romney will never get a vote from me, not even for dog catcher. I have seen first hand how he deals with public monies, and I didn't like it Maine or Massachusetts.

He cannot "win" my vote. I will do everything to keep him from office. This isn't a choice. I don't think we can afford a Romney Presidency. Not on foreign policy. Not on international trade. Not on domestic issues, and certainly not in this economy.

We cannot afford to have him as President. Nothing more, and certainly nothing less.
