Step one: declare that you're a Republican
Step two: derp up the place
Step three: run for office
Step four: win without trying as Republicans eat the stupid up.

Lady: Why can't they go to court?
Aasif: They would lose if there's no law protecting them
Lady: How do you know that?
Aasif: Because I'm not farking retarded

I like the whole I don't know what I've voted for line. The best was "If a liberal would start that kind of bill" meaning my republican overlords would never allow me to introduce that kind of bill. fark off lady.

"Have you ever voted against gay workplace rights?"
"Has that been on the ballot here?"
"I don't know. I'm asking YOU."

I thought that was going to be the worst part of the interview. I was wrong. Dramatically wrong. Epically wrong.

No. Conservation efforts over the past 20 years have turned Missouri into a hunter's paradise. There is no way in hell anyone could ever get fired in Missouri for owning a gun.

Doubtful, but if it happens it shouldn't. Those valley states have a big hunting tradition.

That was my assumption, but I wondered if maybe, just for once, there was an actual point to one of these idiot laws

Look, we'd rather not get into examples here.

Unless you're trying to prevent discrimination against gays, then we'll need examples.

It's all quite simple.

Those people have the same right as everyone else to own a knife or slingshot. Why should there be an extra set of rules for them?

So Republicans are attacking my right to fire my employees for any reason at all, or no reason? Last I checked Missouri was an "at-will" employment state, and I'll be damned if I'll let another business-destroying big government regulation be passed by an out-of-control Republican legislature. Why do Republicans in Missouri hate job creators?

I find it disappointing that the Comedy Channel has more instances of journalistic reporting than the MSM.

This was a really good piece and watching Aasif's face when he blurts out the "common sense" line was classic.

This is to protect real Americans. You can still fire anyone for things liberals like to do like watch npr or get an abortion. This law is the first in a series of laws to protect real american rights, the next in line is to make it illegal to fire someone for being Christian.

Reminds me of their piece on AZ's law to ban Latino ethnic studies courses. The guy knew enough to know that what he used to vote yes on the law was called "hearsay", but he didn't know that hearsay is not in any way an acceptable motivation for voting on public policy.

Can I not hire someone because they own a gun. Cause that would be my solution. I don't mind people who own guns. I own guns. but if I was in Missouri and was a job creator I would probably tilt at this windmill.

She didn't want to "get into examples," but I would imagine the 2nd Amendment of US Constitution (as currently interpreted by case law) protects their rights anyways.

No, especially not after they voted to nullify all laws that do not adhere to an originalist interpretation of the Constitution and also voted to charge anybody who tries to implement ObamaCares with a class A misdemeanor.

The joke a couple years ago was that the Republican idea of health reform was ensuring patients could carry guns into an emergency room.

Clearly their idea of guaranteeing equal rights is to make gun owners a protected class.
