| Sliding Carp I've said it before - Indiana has two parties: the far right wing, and the batshiat full-goose loony far right wing. I don't think the batshiats will be underestimated any more. |
||
| Sliding Carp On the other hand, of course, if there is any justice in the world a Mourdock win would lead the great state of Indiana inexorably closer to our very own Fark tag. So we've got that going for us. /Seriously. You coast-people probably think you know crazy but Hoosier loons is real damn loony. |

I'm moving Indiana into the "toss up" column. Between Olympia Snowe and Luger the teabaggers are probably gonna prevent the GOP from taking back the Senate this year. |

NowhereMon: I'm moving Indiana into the "toss up" column. Between Olympia Snowe and Luger the teabaggers are probably gonna prevent the GOP from taking back the Senate this year. Which is hilarious. The GOP should barely have to fight to get the Senate. The Dems are up by 3 and there are 10 arguably flippable seats, or were before the Teatards started picking off people. Almost every one of those seats was set to flip GOP, should it flip. |
||
| GAT_00
Here's something else surprising. Assuming Lugar loses the primary, there will be, at minimum, 11 brand new faces in the Senate. There are that many open seats. |

I gotta agree with you here. And I must say, I would find it hilarious if the GOP failed to gain the majority in the Senate for the second straight election because they couldn't stop nominating pants-on-head idiots. |

Stranger things have happened, I guess, but my own prediction is that if Mourdock wins the primary he'll crush the Democrat. Jesus Christ himself, carrying a shotgun in one hand and a basketball in the other couldn't count on being elected as a Dem in Indiana. |
||
| Bladel It's all fun and games when the Crazy is aimed at dirty liberals. Now the looney birds have come home to roost. |

| Sliding Carp Serious Black: Didn't Obama win Indiana in 2008? Yep, but that was a long time ago. The derp has multiplied massively since then, and although I can't prove it, I suspect a lot of Hoosiers figured McCain was just as much of a liberal as Obama anyway so what difference does it make? Also they may have realized by now that he's got a touch of the tar brush in his family if you know what I mean. And if they can reject Dick Freaking Lugar, there really is no insanity extreme enough for them to sit back and say, "Should I really be doing this?" |

| WorldCitizen Indiana really is working overtime to out derp the South. |
||
| Somacandra Serious Black: Didn't Obama win Indiana in 2008? Yes, but for a variety of reasons the conventional wisdom, for what its worth, says he won't this year. Not sure why. |
||
| Somacandra WorldCitizen: Indiana really is working overtime to out derp the South. It goes deeper. A lot of the Klan higherups are based in Indiana. |

| Lionel Mandrake Dear Teabaggers: The Democratic Party thanks you! |

If you hug the Tea Party dog, don't be surprised when you wake up with fleas. |

| Satanic_Hamster Eh. fark Dick Lugar. |

But just look at how American he is! I think that trumps any wimpy lapel pins... |

Reap what you sow, wingnuts. I hope you choke to death on that teabagger cock. |

| shower_in_my_socks Loucifer: Is he losing to a guy named Cock Howitzer? Was thinking of something similar to this just as I landed on your post. Well played. |
||
| Gergesa Everyone who is not to the right of Attila the Hun is a socialist it appears. Fox news is losing its audience to WND because it is too leftist. Even Ann Coulter has been accused of failing to be rightwingy enough. At the rate this is going I predict some sort of GOP convention where people cut off their left hand and pluck out their left eye to show just how dedicated they are to the conservatism. Perhaps they will even pass some sort of resolution declaring the entire concept of "left" to be socialist. |

When you stare into the abyss, the abyss also stares into you. The monster Lugar helped create is now turning on him. |

ohh noes! a guy is losing the Indiana primary because he has positions the voters don't like...and he hasn't owned a home in Indiana since 1977. No wonder he is out of touch. democracy, how does it work? |
||
| Nadie_AZ cubic_spleen: Reap what you sow, wingnuts. I hope you choke to death on that teabagger cock. Yeah, but can they do that without dismantling the country? |

You guys wanted the ideology you created. You said there should be no compromise, that only genuine REPUBLICANS should be allowed in office, and that this was what the American people wanted and needed. Now you got it, and we're supposed to be...sorry? Happy? Smug? I was warning the leftists and rightists of my acquaintance in 2008 that this was coming, and everyone just laughed. Sometimes schadenfreude is the only consolation one can get from being Cassandra. |

| Magorn GAT_00: Here's something else surprising. Assuming Lugar loses the primary, there will be, at minimum, 11 brand new faces in the Senate. There are that many open seats. With Lugar out there's a better than even chance that race goes full O'Donnell (Mourdock will implode,I can feel it) and then any chance the GOP at the senate is gone, and even Boehner admits there's a 1 in 3 chance they could lose the House. It could be that 2010 was the worst thing that could ever have happened to the GOP, it gave the TEA party delusions of grandeur, and put the gop in charge when they had no real plan for how to govern |

Taking the senate with a bunch of RINOs doesn't help the GOP. RINOS? let's see, i'm a small town hick from a rural, traditionally conservative republican county...gay marriage? ain't my bidness and ain't the governments what folks want to do. health care for everyone? sounds like a wise investment for our future. war? I ain't paying for that shiat. war on drugs? I ain't paying for that shiat. Evolution? yeah...science makes sense more than witchcraft. Taxes? Well...I sure hate the way potholes ruin the suspension on my El Camino so yeah and the more you got the more you should probably pay. That seems the American way...helping folks out. the GOP is so far from its traditional, sober, progressive views that it makes the money spending Democrats sound good. Think about that. Chew on it awhile. In their lust for power the GOP has gone for the lowest denominator and makes the Democrats look good. Or, as I told a co-worker after Obama won the Iowa primary, "That's how bad they farked it up...we'd rather have the black guy." Who, in truth, would have made a fine, if a bit stodgy, Republican just a few decades ago. |

You said there should be no compromise, that only genuine REPUBLICANS should be allowed in office, and that this was what the American people wanted and needed. I don't give a crap if they're "real" Republicans, just that they don't act like they're going to do one thing while campaigning and then do the opposite once in office. Campaign the way you'll govern and let the voters decide based on that. Do otherwise and don't be surprised that you get your ass kicked out. |

I'm not registered with a political party so I can't vote in the primary. However, losing Senator Lugar would be disastrous for Indiana. If Murdoch wins we will have gone from two senior Senators to two freshmen Senators in two years time. But I still wouldn't count Lugar out. But he'll at least make it a close race if he does lose. Fun Fact to scare the FARK liberals: The guy who is winning, Richard Murdoch, wants to get rid of the EPA. |

Based on your profile....either you're incredibly naive or you're incredibly dense to have just noticed this is what politicians do. ALL politicians. Since, like, forever. And it's not going to change just because a group of Teahadists or Occupiers say they're going to, either. They're going to get into office and do whatever they damn well please. But don't expect me to feel sorry for you, either. |
