I'm certain the media wants that. But I can't help thinking that someone like Rove is behind all of this "they're both the same" bullshiat. Reddit's politics sub is overrun with people that repeat this mantra over and over. You see it here a little bit, but in general the people that frequent the pol tab here are smart enough not to fall for it, and usually stomp the crap out of people that try it. I think the majority of people over there are younger and much more gullible, and with that crowd this line of bull seems to be taking root.

I just hope that this (combined with the other RNC dirty tricks like voter ID laws) aren't enough to swing this thing in Romney's favor.

Its pretty well accepted that both of them lack any real beliefs, and they are likely both center-right. Only difference will be Romney will have a full Republican Congress... so the US will go to hell as he signs all their shiat into laws. Obama will also have a Republican Congress, but will veto more shiat.
