We don't have any in Pa. (I think)...are they any good? |
||
| odinsposse
The whole point of chains is that they try to taste the same everywhere. This seems like a terrible waste of time. |

Delusional fantasies notwithstanding, Texas is not "the country" subtard |

Driving through Mississippi we tried Whataburger. meh. |
||
| Degenz
And Whataburger beats the sh*t out of the other fast food burger joints. Only problem is it makes your car smell like you just had sex with some fat, sweaty Mexican hooker. /which might not be so bad |
||
| Trance750 strangeguitar: We don't have any in Pa. (I think)...are they any good? They are AWESOME. Everything is fresh made and custom order. |

I've always been a little weirded out by their need to put "One nation under God" on their windows. Good breakfast though. |
||
| Civil_War2_Time
Bacon double cheeseburger with jalapenos and yeah, they are the best fast food burger anywhere. They don't know what mayo or ketchup are (unless you ask), and that's why. |

What do want todo in your golden years? Let'shiat a bunch of fast food joints They better hope whataburger opens more locations soon or they will have nothing left to live for |

Whataburger threads crack me up...mostly because I don't understand the fixation Fark has with it. Back in the 70s my girlfriend worked at the only store in San Antonio (on Goliad road) and gave us free food. Whataburger started as a little drive-through in Alice, Texas and has been expanding ever since. It's basically just a greasy cheese burger with lettuce and mustard, nothing special. But they stay open late and it's damn good after a night of bar hopping. |

at least it's an older couple and real Whataburger fans name their kids Harmon after the founder of Whataburger I used to work one |

strangeguitar: We don't have any in Pa. (I think)...are they any good? Opinions obviously vary and have been to a bad one on a visit to Austin (Barton Springs rd???) But On the whole I like them; they are my burger joint of choice. They just need to get some free WiFi for me to leech off of. |

Degenz: Delusional fantasies notwithstanding, Texas is not "the country" subtard Well, not anymore Maybe they'll see historic Texas, you know the whole state, east New Mexico, South Oklahoma, those little bits of Kansas, Colorado, Wyoming |

Thanks! :/ If it helps, I'm originally from the midwest, and have lived in several states. And I've tried several chains. Whitecastle/in-and-out are my guilty pleasure. |
||
| edmo Good luck getting to all of them. Me and the wife got nasty food poising form one in Sweetwater , TX |

Degenz: Delusional fantasies notwithstanding, Texas is not "the country" subtard They have some outside of Texas. But it is a Texas chain, and if you go to Corpus there is a Whataburger on just about every corner. |

Better than McDonald's but not as good as 5 guys. |
||
| Mad Scientist
Does their hoverround really have that kind of range? |
||
| proteus_b
been to one, which was one too many. what is the point of visiting "every mcdonald's" or "every whattaburger"? why not try to drink a bud light in every hard rock cafe while you're at it? |
||
Snarcoleptic_Hoosier ![]() What a burger! /Got nothing |
||
| daxxenos
Whataburger makes Burger King and Mickey D's seem like gourmet dining. They are one step lower than absolutely ghastly. Granted, if you load it up with enough other garbage, you can make a three weeks dead in the Sun and liquified Indonesian rat taste good. However! I take mine with just ketchup. Done like that, I'll go a long way to avoid Whataburger. A starving Ethernopian would turn up his nose and demand real food. Only white trash goat ropers eat there. |

Darth_Lukecash: Whitecastle Yummmmm! Also 5 Guys is good too. Best burger in MN that I've found is at the Shamrock Bar in St. Paul. Oh so good! /Actually might go there for lunch today, now that I think about it. |

I must pass by 5% of them on my commute from southern NM to western TX every day. |

Miss.UnderstoodRedhead: Best burger in MN that I've found is at the FTFM |
||
| L.D. Ablo I wish I had a Whataburger nearby. As far as fast-food goes, it's awesome. I also wish we had a Waffle House here. |

| alwaysjaded odinsposse: The whole point of chains is that they try to taste the same everywhere. This seems like a terrible waste of time. This is mostly true. Some are different though. There's a Burger King outside southern Alexandria, Louisiana that their burgers are so damn good. I honestly don't know what they do different but we get some everytime we go visit family, and you can really taste the difference. Same with the Whataburgers around here. The ones in The Woodlands taste better than the ones in Aldine. / Whataburger kicks ass but this is dumb. Go see the sights in another state or something. |
||
| Trance750 kaduh: Darth_Lukecash: strangeguitar: We don't have any in Pa. (I think)...are they any good? No. They suck ass. Worse than Macdonalds! Heretic. At least Whataburger does not leave pre-made burger sitting under a heat lamp for God knows how long |
||
| wildbill0712
The only Whataburger worth visiting is in Russelleville, AR. They carry the chain name, but I believe the similarities with the others stop there. |
||
| aerojockey FTFA: "To take time out of their schedule to visit all the Whataburgers is amazing," said Henry Apodaca, the director of operations for the Whataburger restaurants in El Paso and New Mexico. Because I can't imagine that a 70-something retired couple would have a lot of open dates in their schedule. (Good for them, though, just for staying active.) |

Done like that, I'll go a long way to avoid Whataburger. Someone who puts Ketchup on food does not deserve to have the ability to judge the quality of food. Whataburger is awesome because, by default, they do not put Ketchup on their burgers. That lowers the chance that the mongoloid behind the counter will not listen to your order and you will somehow end up with that vile white trash sauce on your food like at other fast food joints. God I miss whataburger. |

strangeguitar: We don't have any in Pa. (I think)...are they any good? I haven't been to one in more than 20 years, when I left Arizona. Back then, they rocked! Better than McD's, BK, Wendy's, Carl Jr's, Checkers or anything else. L.D. Ablo: I wish I had a Whataburger nearby. As far as fast-food goes, it's awesome. THIS! I also wish we had a Waffle House here. Georgia has them to spare, at least 3 within 5 minutes of my place. |

Go see the sights in another state or something. maybe the whataburger franchisees purchase their ingredients from local suppliers, which would explain the differences in tastes between the ingredients Also, for me, it's either a Whataburger or a Texas Dairy Queen I'm craving a Jalitos Burger or a Whataburger with cheese, Jalepenos and Bacon Why can't five guys get the heat right? they're always too mild, maybe it's cause they're yankees? Also, am I the only one who likes Pico De Gallo on their burgers? |

We used to have a Whataburger nearby, but it closed. 'Twas a sad day, indeed. |

That number is a lot lower than I would have thought. Here in Tallahassee, we have 4. /best sausage gravy ever |
