And thus the whale-human alliance was formed--a partnership that lasts for hundreds of years, and yet is fated to fail in bloody revolution when a young bored whale in the summer of 2405 is going through the farkives and learns that we humans were responsible for the netting to begin with.

You can say what you want about Rosie O'Donnell, but she is always grateful for the kindness of others.

I saw some whales from my hotel room last summer when I visited Hawaii.

They come in to a particular deep water area just beyond the breakwater at Waikiki. There were 4 or 5 that I could see.

It was really saddening to see how close the nearby boats would come to offer glimpses of these magnificent creatures to their customers. The tour boats created a ring around the whales, blocking their passage, and sat there for about 40 minutes while the whales seemed to get more and more distressed.

Same thing happened in cape cod bay. Fisherman was then fined for interference because he did not call the "professional" whale huggers.

Long days and nights we strained at the oars while a white whale swam freely on, widening the waters between himself and Ahab's vengeance.

He was actually saying "I've got my eyes on you, a-holes. Don't try that again or I'll return with my pod."

Some whales are jerks.

That's the difference between the West Coast and the East Coast right there.

Thought of a bunch of FUNNY stuff - but it all involves dolphins.

Any subby out there with an article about San Francisco fishermen freeing a 40-ton grey dolphin entangled in large fishing line???? That then circles the boat like it's saying:

So Long and Thanks for . . . TAKING all the Fish. A$$holes. . .
