So they took a photo, sketched over a part of it, shopped it onto a fake piece of paper an shopped a hand holding it in place. Neat, I guess... as long as you keep the same lighting direction.

I can draw better than that! For example:

I can draw the following things...
-curtains
-conclusions
-straws

/...Am drawing a blank
//PS: those drawings were truly awesome. Thanks Subby!

It think the original picture is taken with him holding a blank piece of paper. Isn't this kind of thing usually a high school art assignment? He does a good job with it but it's still just doodles. A t-rex shooting up a city? Fascinating. I'd rather look at those paintings done by the elephant.

Based on the lighting of a few, I think the hand/paper are photographed at an entirely different time - probably after the drawing was completed from tracing the original photograph.

The focus is a give away as well. A mountain a few miles away and a hand a few inches away can't be both in focus in the same frame.

Pencil vs Camera: Incredible images mixing photography and pencil drawings must be seen many, many times to be believed

Not really. Looking once, I thought they were mildly interesting and an expression of somewhat decent talent, but hardly incredible or unbelievable.

I was like, "Why would anyone want to eat an eighth of a cup of mushrooms at 10'oclock at night?" Then I was like, "Ooooooh." Hope you are o.k.

But the camera remains just slightly quicker than those hand-made drawrings...

clever and well executed idea. not sure its worth an exhibit if you cant take the pics to the spot and hold them up for yourself. but very creative.

/A-ha still the champs though

There is no way those hands were even holding blank paper. If you ignore the fake shadows, you can see the paper isn't even bent slightly under the thumb. Some of the hands aren't even lit like the rest of the photos. Look at the one with the donkeys that frogstomper posted... does that even look slightly real to you?

/looks shopped... tell by the pixels etc.
