I'd be pretty intimidated. Don Ho has been dead for 5 years.

Why would Don Ho go, even if he wasn't dead? Don Ho played a keyboard.

A whole festival just for a guy from a semi-popular TV show from the 1980s?

You know what I like about the ukulele?

If you dress up like Colonel Sanders and play the ukulele in Times Square, tourists throw you nickels.

Play the bagpipes, they kick you down the subway stairs...

Ever met Don Ho's brother Ass? Didn't like the guy. His sister Stanky wasn't pleasant either.

If you want to build your own soprano ukulele, this isn't a bad kit. The fingerboard is laminated but still. $27 bucks cheap. Or just buy a knockaround on Amazon and see if you like playing it first. Read the reviews and buy new strings if you get a real cheap one

There are plenty of videos on Youtube about assembling the kit and there are plenty of free lessons on how to play the uke there too.

Ukulele Mike has lots of lessons.

Also, many of the uke chords can be played with one or two fingers on the left hand.

Relax. Don't worry. Strum a uke.

Why is that Nazi shoving a sword up a doves ass?

Any smug pretentious liberal arts student want to interpret it for me?

And, what does that have to do with airline travel? Wait, its actually is a lot like airline travel.

Never mind.

I once gave whole dollar to a bagpiper, after he swore never to play "America the Beautiful" again.

Got a uke for my birthday and it really is fun and somewhat simple to play, even with the huge sausage shaped digits I use. I'm still just strumming, no picking yet. Still, it's great fun and the happy sound just lifts your spirits.

I like the Doctor Uke web site as a jumping-off place. Saw Jake Shimabukuro play in my town this past year, in a really intimate little space, just 200 people.... what a great time that was. But also, a little intimidating, when you go back home and pick up your own uke and realize you will never approach his level of talent.

Toss in bagpipes and hurdy gurdy and you would have a quartet, call it the four horsemen of the musical world.
