All 3 A's fan would be devastated. Anything would be better then the ghastly thing they call a stadium they play in now.

And last week, MLB Commissioner Bud Selig eluded to the possibility of the Oakland franchise moving out of the Bay Area.

Nice grammar there professional writer person.

Good. If they're okay with stealing some other city's teams, then turnaround is fair play. Hello, future Seattle Sonics.

I've been boycotting the NBA for four years; are the Kings any good these days or do they suck? I'm guessing they suck I but won't look it up. (And if you post a link to the standings, I won't give it a page view.)

You might say proper usage alluded him.

Why Would I Read the Article
I'm watching the A's doing their usual thing of never hitting the ball out of the infield or scoring any runs, so I'm really getting a kick at the thought of the front office ending their 10 year drought of not drafting a single player who can hit the farking ball. And only 2 real hitters drafted in the past 16 years. Seriously, how do you go that long without falling ass backwards into a late bloomer or somebody who roids up and becomes great or for whatever reason turns into a major league hitter? How can an organization that can only possibly have a chance to succeed with home grown prospects have such a terrible record with drafting and developing hitters?

When Chavez and Swisher are the only things you have to show in your last 16 years of drafting, it's time to make some major, major changes.

Wait, Jeremy Brown was a brilliant pick; I read it in a book.

Dude must be getting some ridiculous kickbacks from developers because he is so f-ing fixated on the railyards it's not even funny. Yeah, it's central, but there really isn't alot of easy access to that site. And I should know because I lived at 8th and E for years.

Even the Sacramento Rivercats, the AAA affiliate of the Oakland A's (and one the perennial national leaders in AAA team attendance figures), frequently outdraw the A's home games in Oakland, so this probably wouldn't be a bad move for the A's--a major league team would probably do pretty well in Sacramento, and a large part of the A's current fan base is already in the area (though there are more of a Giants fans than A's fans in Sacramento currently). Having said that:

(1) It'll never happen, for a wide variety of reasons, not the least of which is
(2) Kevin Johnson is a retarded asshole who--despite his meglomaniacial and delusionally inflated views of himself--couldn't organize a blowjob on prom night or a hunger strike at a fashion show, let alone the construction of a new ballpark and the relocation of a MLB franchise.

You missed my point completely, didn't you. It's not about laziness. Obviously I could click a link and take far less time and energy than I took to write either that post or this one. So to make it clear for you (even though it was clear the first time): it's not a matter of "not willing." It's a matter of "would rather have my eyeballs tattooed than benefit the NBA or any news organization that covers the NBA by giving it a page view." Like when a Breitbart article comes up on the politics tab.

I like the A's and their stadium. It's often sunny there, and relatively cheap. And the Warriors are leaving as well? Boo.

Oh, so you're just butthurt. One wonders why you would want the Kings in that case.

The Kings do suck. The Maloofs want to move the team somewhere they can make money regardless of how bad they suck. First it was Las Vegas. Now I think it's Anaheim. Seattle's probably pretty far down their list, though. So you have that going for you :-)

They aren't going to Anaheim unless they sell the controlling portion of the team to Samueli(Ducks owner), and it seems they didn't want to do that last time around.

hat is a possibility; hand loading is a science. The right amount of powder and the right kind of powder for the bullet are absolutely essential.

I live down in OC now and I think they far.far over estimate their potential draw in Anaheim. Be a couple extra home games for the Lakers and they would probably get good attendance for the Heat and Celtics but I don't see any kind of mass fan conversion here in Laker country. Maybe if they somehow started 5 Mexican nationals.

Well at least that would keep them in NorCal. How exactly does Oakland keep either the A's and more importantly the Raiders? They just lost the Warriors to SF, so I assume they would actually fight for the Raiders. Is that the team LA swoops in on? The great Bay Area team shuffle has begun, the Sharks and the Giants are the only teams that aren't looking to move around..

I'm wondering what this would mean for the Rivercats and how the city of West Sacramento would feel about this.

Well, it could certainly save Manny a fortune in commute costs
