| Diogenes We get these stories every year this time. I think the only sensible thing to do is ban yearbooks. Should probably ban graduation and photography, too. Just to be safe. |

| I_Am_Weasel How awful! It's just appalling that in the year 2012, a teen might be exposed to a picture of some naughty bits™. Up until this year book came out, those children were as an Amish shut-in. The outrage is certainly justified! This will never do! |

Gramma: So everyone that buys it has child porn? How awesome is that. Where do you live? The article states that she was 18, so that's not considered CP anywhere I've ever been... |

It's very distracting when they put those black rectangles over the naughty bits.....I can't see anything!!! \Yes, yes, I know.....I'll have a seat over there..... |
||
| Cyno01 lordaction: Uncensored picture so everyone can make up their own minds. NSFW It said in the article she was 18 at the time if the photograph, so its fine. Not like if she were 17 and 364 and a half days old, then wed all be horrible pedophiles. |

Of she's graduating, odds are she's 18. If that's the case, I want to see the tang. Realistically, I'd still want to see it if she were 17 too. |

"Really looking at that image, we're not sure that's what it is at all. We think it was the way she was sitting and the angle of her gown," Creason said. "We're not convinced at all that you're seeing what you think you are." It's as if David Copperfield was the yearbook editor. |

I know I wanted VIY when I was in high school. /vagina in yearbook |

Racy yearbook photo blown out of proportion, other parents say So, what, it's been enlarged? /if it hasn't, I'd say a girl with a disproportionately large vajayjay would have a rewarding career in niche porn. |

I know someone who believes things like this are learned from watching shows like Don't Trust the B____ in Apt 23. Life imitating art, or are the shows just telling what already is? |

She was 18, so NBD. Or, too old. Whatever. |

The poor mother believed she was looking at "pornography". I would like very much to sit down with her and show her some actual pornography. I believe that if she were, exposed to say, three hours of triple penetration videos at, say, ExploitedStreetMeat.com, her perspective on what constitutes "pornography" would be clarified. She might die on the spot. Or, she might, in a moment of unexpected and unbridled lust, her guard down, transform from a prissy, sanctimonious housewife into a helpless submission nympho. Hey, I think I've found my theme for tonight. /fap night needs new themes or it gets boring |

Another student posted to his Facebook page, "Leave it to Lake Norman to have a crotch shot in the yearbook." Q: What's the difference between a Lake Norman Girl and a toilet? A: A toilet doesn't follow you around after you use it, begging you to dump in another load. |
||
| ferretman If the girl in question was under 18 (the article doesn't know her age), would the printing company be charged with production and distribution of child-pron? What about the photographer? |
||
| JohnCarter
Odd that nobody noticed that in editing. Did the young lady in the photo get a job printing yearbooks? |

Up until this year book came out, those children were as an Amish shut-in. The outrage is certainly justified! This will never do! Some of those kids have had sex too, so they might as well just put pictures of that in the yearbook too right? |

Page 2 says they investigated and discovered she was 18 in the photo. So perv on boys and girls. |
||
| IronJelly We had a girl do that in my senior High School yearbook as well. Apparently it's the popular thing to do. She was 18 when the photo was taken in that case, and I don't think most of the staff or parents actually caught on. But it was absolutely deliberate, and I would guess the editors (also students) were only pretending to not notice. //which is awesome, I think i may start collecting HS yearbooks and looking for these. ///not really going to do that. |

ferretman: If the girl in question was under 18 (the article doesn't know her age), would the printing company be charged with production and distribution of child-pron? What about the photographer? yeah, about that One question that came to light shortly after word of the photo spread was the age of the graduate. School officials said she was 18 at the time of graduation, which may rule out any child pornography charges. TLDR, eh? |
||
| MightySlam
Is this criminal? The Iredell County Sheriff's Office said it was going to let the district investigate the incident before stepping in and performing an investigation. The sheriff's department did not discuss what criminal charges, if any, the girl could face if the district and the sheriff's department find her in violation. Really? Criminal charges? |
