Once upon a time a lion happened upon a mouse caught in a trap. "Oh, please! Help me!" said the mouse, whose name was Androcles. "Help you! I am the King of Beasts! Why should I help you? Why, you wouldn't even be a nibble for me!"

"If you help me, I'll pay you back," said Androcles. "Even the weeist of beasties can be of muckle assistance some time." "Oh, can the dialect," said the Mighty Lion, laughing. But he liked the cut of the wee beastie's jib. The mouse had spunk despite his diminuative size, so he freed the mousie with one swipe of his smallest claw.

"Oh, thank you, thank you, thank you," said the grateful mouse. "I will always remember Your Majesty's Nobel Condescension to such a humble subject as I", said the mouse, grammatically.

The Lion soon forgot the mouse, but the mouse did not forget the lion.

One day the mouse was browsing around the backstage of an ampitheatre when he saw the Lion in hanging in a net. He was a prisoner destined to be thrown to the Christians in the arena.

"That's the same lion that saved me!" squeaked the mouse. "I have my chance to return the favour!" And the mouse crawled up the wall to the rafter from which the net was hanging and whispered to the lion. "Fear not! Your deliverance is at hand!" "Can the rhetoric!" whispered the lion, who remembered then how he had saved the silly little mouse from the trap.

The little mouse gnawed and gnawed. He gnawed as if he was gnawing for his life, which in a way he was. And he freed the Mighty Lion.

Down came the net in a crash and a roar and the Mighty Lion was free! He didn't waste any time but turned on his captors and soon there were Christians running every which way as he bounded up the stairs that led to the stands and attacked his erstwhile public. "Can the archaisms!" he roared.

And the moral of the story is clear: Don't snack between meals. A nibble here and there can make a real difference.

He spoke grammatically, but with bad spelling. Read "noble" for "Nobel".

Yes! It is Caturday! I work with autistic kids. They can be really gentle with critters.

Biscuit is helping the wife do bills. He's eating all the receipts.

My cat has helped me keep sane this week. It has been hell at work so I go home and cuddle my fluffy Maine Coon until he swats me.

Yep, the cat keeps me from going utterly nuts..and frm sleeping in..today he got me up at 4a.m. To be let in. I don't have to be up until 6! So, I am tired with a capital T.

Yep. The kittehs help the girls study and other calming stuff. Except for sitting on the keyboard when I'm trying to post to FARK.
