Good message.

However, they are a mediocre team at best and they should stay away from Hockey East.

Unless they're buddy buddy with Marshall, you're not getting any playing time in UConn, gay or straight.

/cousin played for UConn
//teammates liked him, coach hated him so he was cut
///All-Star twice over in ACHA and heading to Europe with D-I squad (UConn is D-II)

UConn is D-I. There is no D-II in mens college hockey.

It's such a problem
It's got me in despair
He's such a sweetheart
But he's got hockey hair
Cut short on top
Long in back, he lets it fall
A neck-warmer haircut
You can get at any mall
People giggle and stop and stare
And it's not like he's unaware
But he plays hokey so he don't care
Now I'm stuck with a boy with hockey hair
He's a wicker lover
He fills me with delight
He'll turn a bedroom hat trick
Three times in one night
But he won't change his haistyle
No matter how I try
Though I know he loves me
His first love is the ice
I'd love to sit him in a barber chair
But I know I don't have a prayer
cause he plays hockey so he don't care
Now I'm stuck with a boy with hockey hair
I don't tell him what clothes to wear
I'd simply rather see him bare
But he plays hockey so he don't care
Now I'm stuck with a boy with hockey hair

Nice.

I know everyone there is to know
From the manager down to stick boy Joe
Some of them are friends, and some of them are foes
But I still get along with them

Rink rat
Rink rat

I show up at three p.m.
And just hang out until the game
I don't mix with the other team
But I still get along with them

Rink rat
Rink rat

I'm in love with the hotdog [boy]
I'm in love with the popcorn [boy]
I'm in love with the ticket [boy]

You're thinking NCAA. I mentioned he went to ACHA (which has a D-II that UConn is in) after Marshall cut him. The fact that he got on the D-I All Star squad from a D-II school is supposedly a rare occurrence there but all my knowledge came from him and my uncle so only ACHA knows.

Good on the team for this. Especially like this was an effort from the team, not pressed by the coach or the school.

"It's a very loaded political term," he said. "If we're going to be against bullying, then we ought to be against all forms of bullying and not just the kind that get us a pat on the back from politically correct elites. I would hope that people that have traditional beliefs, traditional faiths that they would not be bullied for holding views about morality or the definition of marriage."

I am sure the team is against all forms of bullying, but the primary form to be concerned with is homophobic bullying. And I am sure the team would not bully you provided your views about morality or the definition of marriage are respectful of other people and are not to be instituted as state or federal policy.

Also, f*ck you for acting persecuted. I have never heard of a story of a Christian teenager attempting or committing suicide after relentless bullying concerning their faith; you don't get to utter a word as though there is a comparison.

As a hockey fan, and a liberal, I'm pretty pleased that the sport of hockey as a whole is really ahead of the curve on this issue, especially compared to the other major sports.

Rink rat

I was just seventeen, when I made the AHL
I couldn't skate in junior, but my fists rang like a bell.
I'll never win a title, and I'll never win the cup,
But when it comes to ladies, I've had the best of luck.

My first one was a sly one, hanging round the rink,
But they sent me off to Cornwall, as fast as you could blink,
In Moose Jaw I was right in love, the daughter of the coach -
He traded me for nothing, didn't take to my approach.

So good-bye, fare thee well,
There's no time for delay,
You'll see me at the face-off, or catch the play-by-play
So good-bye, fare thee well,
I'm glad you shared my bed,
But never trust a fellow with a helmet on his head.

Chantal was from Moncton, elle a joué avec moi.
A tongue as sharp as razors, but she had a fancy car.
Her husband was a bruiser, played senior in Quebec,
If he'd had the rights of it, it would have been my neck.

Nancy couldn't watch me fight, she'd always be in tears,
Waving from the bleachers, and screaming in my ears,
Dee I should have married, and we had a dandy fling,
But I had a one way contract, blew the money for the ring.

I should have sent a letter, and it would have been polite,
But I'm cleaning out my locker, and time is getting tight.
I'm calling from the station, perhaps another day,
Cause they're calling up a rookie, and they're trading me away.

Great Big Sea
