Much too late. The BosWash corridor is already a mess.

Also, no shock to anyone but the NHL is displeased by the Coyotes postgame actions Tuesday night.

But the League has no one to blame but themselves. Considering how massively incompentent the officials have been throughout these playoffs and the selective enforcement of rules by those officials and by Brendan Shanahan (not having hearings on Weber, the Kings player who boarded the Blues' Pietrangelo or Brown for his OT hit which Kerry Fraser said should've been a penalty), this was eventually going to happen. Mistakes happen, but there's been so many errors that it's bordered on willful ignorance by the officials. The NHL needs to do better. They owe it to the players, the teams and the fans to do better.

/And Fraser knows a little something about farking up a call that helps the Kings get to the Cup Final

I'm hoping that the Rangers can manage to pull a win out tonight (mainly because I really enjoy watching Game 7s), But I really doubt that they can do it two games in a row (of course they did it with Ottawa a few weeks ago...). So sadly for me it looks like the actual Finals are going to be with the two teams that I like the least, how depressing...

Ah well, at least the level of actual hockey play is quite good & enjoyable to watch as is, for the most part, the level of conversation around here. So it should be an enjoyable next couple of weeks to wrap up the season

The end of Tuesday's thread has a link to Doan's comments (which as I said were the angiest I've ever seen him in 15 years of following him and I think even Kings fans would agree with some of his comments or at least would feel the same way if the roles were reversed).

As a Coyotes fan, I sum up my feelings this way:

Sad that it's over and that we didn't play the way we should've in Games 1 and 2

Proud that we even reached the 3rd round

Accepting of the fact that the better team won

Bitter over how it ended with the Brown hit not being penalized and all. See my post up thread about official's incompetence and all that.

The Coyotes didn't just lose - they had been eliminated from the playoffs, in overtime, twelve seconds after Rozsival had what looked like a very serious knee injury. I can't think of any player that wouldn't have been upset in that situation.

The Kings are pretty used to long layoffs, having lost all of 2 games in 3 rounds. I don't think some more time off is going to hurt them.

Well yes, but the NHL didn't really take it over as much as the NCAA kind of gave it up, by expanding their bowl season over weeks and diluting it with dozens of meaningless bowl games.
