How many lives they save? Now compare those statistics to EMTs and firefighters. Did you do that? The police have no legal obligation to help you, they are under absolutely no legal obligation to help you whatsoever, this is according to the SCOTUS. A nurse, an EMT, a doctor, they DO have a legal obligation to render aid under, soooooo, you're wrong.

Firefighters and EMTs exist to save lives, that is their entire purpose. The police exist to enforce our laws, those are completely different jobs. EMTs are healthcare workers, not law enforcement.

Firefighters and EMTs are generally very helpful people. When I've needed help from a cop, I've never gotten any.

When a man tried to abduct me off the street when I was a teenager, they didn't care.

When I was robbed, they didn't care, and would not even investigate.

When I had my car vandalized, they wouldn't take a report.

When my meth-head neighbors were trying to smash down my door in the middle of the night, they wouldn't come.

But when I was working my butt off, going through college and trying to make something of my life to escape the white-trash county I grew up in, they were quite happy to confuse my house with the meth-head neighbor's and break down my door and throw me across the room. Now I have an injury that I will have to live with the rest of my life, and which destroyed my plans to go into my chosen career.
