I think the O's game today has meaning since the Ray's are ganging up on Baltimore.

Another question: Why oh why do the Cardinals continue to suck?!?!

Half my family is from Pittsburgh and I think have just given up on any hopes of the Pirates doing anything mediocre. They just go down for the fireworks night anymore.

Is it really bias if a grand total of zero NL East & AL East teams are below .500?

The Nats won't win tonight because they would sweep the series by doing that, something they seem incapable of doing despite their winning record.

//Bitter in that they'll win the first 2 of 3 or first 3 of 4, but can never pull off the full sweep

This wasn't to imply Parra is the trash, that was just an awesome grab. Cody Ransom was, and he's still raking.

I have a feeling it's going to be that way for quite a while here, being that the positive test came right after he destroyed the Snakes in a playoff game.

The lineup is starting to hit. The rotation features three of the best arms pitching in the majors. Utley and Howard are going to return in a month or so.

I have the same feeling about the Sox; we'll probably end the day 2 1/2 of Cleveland, but this has been a very promising week for them (seriously, Konerko is just hitting the hell out of the ball right now.)

He's probably the most underrated player in baseball. That's coming from a Tigers fan who despises everything about the White Sox.

A team can go 108-54 while never sweeping a series and never winning more than two in a row.

He also always seems to be one of those guys that everyone just plain likes, like Verlander (and that's coming from a White Sox fan who both respects and despises the Tigers).

The only way the Nats don't sweep today is if they lose the game 2-1 or 1-0. But sadly they are entirely capable of doing that.

I'm a total homer, but objectively speaking the Nats are only a couple bats short of being a World Series team.

It's just a beard. I don't think that means that they're emulating George Michael (who had a successful career outside of touching himself in public bathrooms).

Anyway. It's been fun watching the Rangers beat up on the Jays, especially considering how the Jays beat up on the Yankees last week.

One of the things I love about watching via "not-so-legal" streams is because you get to see all sorts of different commercials you wouldn't see at home.

Never watched a channel from Japan though.

Well, RA Dickey pitched a 10-strikeout shutout today for the Mets, marking 24 straight innings of shutout ball for the team.

I like these homegrown Mets!

What I don't like is D-Wright going 0-6 the last two games.
