Doug Collins, that game last night was bad and you should feel bad. |

carnifex2005: Doug Collins, that game last night was bad and you should feel bad. Have fun finding any coach who can mold a team of nothing but streaky-shooting combo guards and tweener-forwards into a club that can consistently run a half-court offense with some proficiency. I still don't think the 76ers should've beaten the Bulls even w/o Rose. |

Killer Cars: I still don't think the 76ers should've beaten the Bulls even w/o Rose. How about without Rose and Noah? So the Bulls lost their best offensive player and their best defensive player. |

| redmid17 The best player on the team isn't even in the big three. |

IAmRight: How about without Rose and Noah? So the Bulls lost their best offensive player and their best defensive player. But but Boozer! He dominates the paint! Yeah, I completely forgot about Noah.... The 76ers are borderline screwed going into next year anyway, as Lou Williams is apparently opting out and I don't think he's worth what he'll ask for on the open market, plus, what, $30+ million still tied up in Iguodala and Brand? I guess you can amnesty Brand... |

I look at them next round as the out in five. |

| FriarReb98 jevman: I look at them next round as the out in five. I'll tell you after game 1. If they look tired, yes. If they cope well...I wouldn't bet against them. |

| Palmer Eldritch Doug Collins did a hell of a job this year. The Sixers massively overachieved. Don't count on consistently seeing them in the second round. |

If Doug's career is any indication, his successor will do all of that and more. /good coach, but he always leaves something to be desired. |

| Unfreakable Just a heads-up, the NBA playoffs game starts in 15 minutes and I don't have a thread submitted. Free greenlight opportunity... |

Evan turner.. maybe.. but I'm not sure there either. |

Evan turner.. maybe.. but I'm not sure there either. Sixers' may or may not be screwed, this is Schrödinger's basketball team. The Sixers have 49 Million committed in player salaries next year - 43 Million if Williams leaves. And a project salary cap around 60 Million. If they can get good value for Brand/Iggy - I wouldn't be opposed to trading one or both of them but only if we were getting internet howling "Stern is cooking the strings for the Sixers" deals. Brand is entering into the last year of his contract - and only a total idiot would amnesty an expiring contract. Remember the Lakers turned Kwame Brown into Pau Gasol, and the Cavs turned Wall Szerbeick (sp?) into nothing. Knicks turned Patrick Ewing into 12 years of misery. I'm confident (not 100%, hell not even 75% , but better than 50%) the Sixers won't turn into the post-Ewing Knicks. While Iggy is expensive, he's not overpaid. The rest of the league loves him, he's a shut down defender who can provide reasonable offense. Think about it, you wouldn't object to having Iggy guard the other team's PG, SG, SF or even a PF in the right circumstance. That's an insanely valuable player to have. Jrue is 22 years old and in case you haven't watch any of the playoff games, is showing an incredibly high ceiling. Same with Turner, despite all the shiat he's gone through still has the leading man confidence. Iverson, then Miller crushed the it in the developing Iggy. Turner and Jrue are a pretty good nucleus to build around. |
