I'll be projecting it onto paper with my 10" Meade SCT. What little I can from Cleveland, TN. |

Anyone in the southern Illinois area check in later in the week, once we've determined a site for our transit viewing |

Because People in power are Stupid: [upload.wikimedia.org image 200x304] I read that when I was 12. I think this may have affected me. |

| king of vegas I'm in Vegas and drove up to the see the eclipse in Utah a couple weeks ago. I still have the solar glasses which I bought from the planetarium. For the eclipse I wore them over a pair of sunglasses. I hope that was OK. Anyone know? I have tried Googling but can't seem to find an answer. Putting the solar glasses over the sunglasses makes them more comfortable and takes away a lot of glare. I assume it's safe but anyone know for sure? |

I have a telescope. I have a solar filter for it. What I don't have is anything blue or yellow to point it at. Just varying shades of grey and rain in every direction. It had better clear up by next week (here or somewhere within reasonable driving distance) or I am going to be pissed. |

I had no idea Venus and Earth weren't on the same orbital plane. /Rottino sure curses a lot when he pop flies or strikes out. //go PHILLIES! |

If they're designed for solar viewing and there are no obvious defects, they should be OK. Just don't use a CD or even welder's glass. |

You would be fine, the solar glasses have already blocked everything nasty, what you put in the way after that doesnt make a lot of difference. |
