The name isn't "buddy." It's Durant. Robert G. Durant.

Durant missing all of those shots in the trailer was pretty good acting.

I imagine that's super awkward to do as a trained athlete, to specifically go against years of training and conditioning.

So on a scale of Space Jam to Kazaam, how awful will this movie be?

As awful as it looks, it somehow increases my KD mancrush.

The first thing I said to myself, upon reading the article: "Oh God, Kazaam 2."

Really, though, that's a pretty narrow scale you've set down. Should be "on a scale from Hoosiers (great) to Kazaam (utter shiat)."

Did you see that trailer? Because I think, given what I saw in that trailer, that there is approximately zero chance of this movie being any better than Space Jam (which was at least unintentionally hilarious, and had some good bits from the Looney Tunes gang and Bill Murray).

And that "talent being stolen via a magical basketball" thing looked like it was directly lifted from Space Jam.

Well, but none of the actors in Hoosiers was an NBA player, meaning it had a chance to be a good movie-- or rather, it had no excuse for being a terrible one (which it, of course, wasn't).

How about a scale of Kazaam (awful) through Eddie and Blue Chips (tolerable but not quite good) to He Got Game (good)?

Your scale is better; I was simply trying to think of a decent basketball film.

When I saw the trailer last night, I thought it was a comedy sketch from Inside the NBA.
