Godscrack: Year Zero is a great NIN record.

I wish he'd make a sequel so we can maybe find out exactly what happened in the end.
I wonder if they're still working on that TV show...

jbc: The last thing Year One needs is a prequel.

What are they gonna sub-title it: Scott Pilgrim versus the Romans?

This.

I saw "Year Zero" and clicked the link. I was sad to find out it had nothing to do with Trent.

Mock26: Wow. A whole 30 copies!

Well, if 30 people tell at least one friend, then their 30 friends tell their friends, then those 900 friends tell their friends, that's an immediate 26,970 copies sold (the first 30 were free).
Then of course, all 26,970 will tell at least one friend, etc, etc, etc...

This is a flawless plan. Using this math, he could sell more books than we have enough trees on the planet to produce in just a few weeks.

The only thing that would make it funnier were if everyone simply pirated the book like crazy!

Step 1: have a wacky idea for a wacky comedy novel
Step 2: take that wacky idea to its illogical extreme and make all your characters overreact all the time.
Step 3: brand confusion with NIN???
Step 4: Profit!

Can you tell I don't own many comedic novels? I have a few books by stand-up comedians, but no novels. Maybe it helps that I can imagine the words being spoken in the comedian's voice and style. Or that there's much funnier stuff on TV.

I think "rip-off" might be a strong term. I mean it isn't itellectual property, it's a political idea. I would consider that simply "taking inspiration" from the idea.

I heard on the radio a while back that Trent had said he had set aside some time in 2012 to write NIN music. I don't have any citations though.

Well, Trent did say on Twitter last week that there will be new music from How to Destroy Angel at some indefinite point in the future of this year.

I happen to like the work that he and his wife have done on this side project and I'm looking forward to this. I'd be surprised, however, if I saw anything new from Nine Inch Nails specifically.

You do realize anything trent touches outside NIN almost with out a doubt sounds exactly like NIN? I mean look what he did to Saul Williams? It was like Saul got a NIN sound kit in the mail and was told just to put his lyrics over it. As much as I like Trent and what he does his style is pretty stuck into one gear, every once in awhile he will pop out and do something slightly different but he will return.
