I know I say it every week, but I really can't express how appreciative I am of the people that help write up questions for this quiz. They came through this week for me, and they deserve credit. Thanks to ivan, Tziva, phlegmmo, Current Resident, RocketRod, cjoshuav, Sinto, Sim Tree, and timharrod.

Well, I waited long enough on the hard quiz so my failing-at-failing score didn't show but accidentally got two right on easy and not enough people have taken it yet.

TAKE THE EASY QUIZ FOLKS. HIDE MY SCORE.

You sure? How 'bout we exchange coding for a TFA? This site needs upgrades, starting with adding [Lame] & [Annoying] & [Rant] buttons and an Arizona tag. Plus I'll bet you could automate some of the boring manual tasks.

/BTW, if this is Drew, please booze-up again this weekend, just like last Saturday when you green-lit the best stuff ever.

I am pretty sure Unfreakable is not employed as QuizMonkey™ and probably has other duties. I could be wrong though, because if so that is a cool job.

Strictly speaking, he probably didn't need help putting the questions together, but he asked for help if we wanted to make sure the quiz continued to appear every week. A lot of us are very fond of the quiz and would be very sad if it disappeared because he was too busy to make it, and volunteered to help. And I've noticed that he still writes some of the questions each week.

FWIW, writing the questions is not as quick and easy as you might think. It's hard to find articles with quirky details where the answer wasn't already blatantly given away in the headline, without making the question about some tiny, mundane detail in the article.

I'm not sure which "boring, manual tasks" you're referring to being automated. More to the point, though, I'm not a coder. We have developers, and they have a very long list of things that need doing which they work on constantly. If your sincere belief is that the thing which should be put at the top of the to-do list is additional descriptor tags, you wouldn't be serving the community well.

Understood. I was secretly hoping it was Mr. Drew who would get frustrated at my post, drink too much like last weekend, then green-lite weirder-than-normal stuff.

/Yep, the questions are fun and funny, which means they're hard and why you'll never see me on the leader board.

Yeah, I set up the quiz a while back as a way to sort of recap the week. It's a really small part of what I do. The only time I really get busy with it is Thursday night and Friday morning. I still need to get the questions uploaded into the form. I couldn't do it early today because I was busy with several other things. Thank you for being one of the people to step up and help.

It's nearly impossible to out-drink Drew. I tried, but I started hearing this weird, high-pitched ringing noise after a while.

Turns out, it was my liver screaming.

Yes, originally Chicago via Univ of Wisc, now in OC in a warm beach city for many years. Not sure why anyone would move from here....

My paycheck back then didn't support the cost of the kind of house I wanted to live in. I wouldn't mind moving back one day, though. HB is my favorite place in the world.

Yahooey! Got all eleven, first time ever, but scored low due to a slow computer and a bad innertubes connection.

The wi--fi server is far from my home, I have to stuff my D-link LAN into a popcorn can and point it at the transmitter to amplify the signal.

I may be the only man on Fark to get wi--fi out of a tin can.
