She probably died because of low electrolytes. Vomiting causes a person to lose electrolytes and that's why drinking something like Pedialyte is important for persons who vomit frequently.

The principal of the school I taught at in Korea sent out a newsletter to all the students and their parents warning them that fan blades slice oxygen molecules in half and can cause suffocation if left on for too long. True story.

It was a take on fan death I hadn't heard of before then. Usually it's just the "convection oven", hypothermia, or "vortex asphyxia" varieties.

No, she died because she was having a heart attack that went untreated and progressed to cardiac arrest. In women one of the major symptoms is nausea and vomiting. This is because the blood flow decreases to the intestines in order to support cardiac and brain function.

Seems to me the article could just have easily proclaimed "Woman dies after drying hair." How did they decide the vomiting was the key event here?

The ones that are floating around out there have all the naughty bits covered with black boxes. They were taken after she lost her weight, so from what can been seen, she looks pretty good.
