| OBBN My God that was beautiful. It's a shame the headline is so sparse as the mods are almost sure to overlook this one Subby, but it deserves to be greenlit. |

Ok, at the beginning I was just chuckling, but near the end I laughed fairly loud. |

Some people are just hard on machinery. |

| Man On A Mission If I was the insurance company, I'd deny the claim on the grounds of idiocy. |

| meehaw What is it about some people (who happen to almost always be women) who just simply do not understand the physics and geometry of a car? It seems to be natural to most. |

Lol. Holy shiat. The explination to her husband had to have been epic. |

I was sort of hoping that the car would actually roll all the way into traffic and get T-boned, but that would also have brought grief to an innocent bystander. |

What a vacuous imbecile. But I repeat myself; I'm still stunned by such a display of womanhood. |

That was hard to watch. |

LEO here and I can tell you, I watch people (sadly mostly women) pull the stupidest shiat while driving cars. I live and serve in a small city where parallel parking is the rule and... I just cannot believe how unaware most people are of the dimensions and geometry of the cars they drive. My favorite is when I watch them run a red light or stop sign or not yield for the people waiting to cross the street at a crosswalk and the excuse invariably is, "Oh, I didn't see it." YOU DIDN'T SEE IT? YOU'RE DRIVING A 4000lb VEHICLE!!! |

It's much better than giving away the ending in the headline, and in this case, it was fairly accurate, too. |

| Honest Bender I guess I can understand grinding along the wall. You over steer, get up against the wall, and fail to realize how to get off. It's dumb, but I get it. I don't understand why she continued to accelerate towards the wall in front of her until she bashed in the front of her car. I further don't understand how someone can EVER get out of the driver's seat of a car without setting the parking brake. It's 100% ingrained in my brain. Getting out of car? Parking brake. /Women... |

darch: My favorite is when I watch them run a red light or stop sign or not yield for the people waiting to cross the street at a crosswalk and the excuse invariably is, "Oh, I didn't see it." That's their EXCUSE? For me, that actually makes it worse. With somebody who'd seen it, you'd thing they were telling to themselves, "Well, I'm supposed to stop, but the intersection is clear, so I'll go." |

| LesserEvil grouser: Did she take out her ponytail? She looks Oriental and I think that matters. LikeALeafOnTheWind: DWO? // thats wasis. It looks like an Asian country, not Japan (the roads look to be right-side driving), maybe South Korea or China, so it's a good be that she's Asian. On a side note, the car is probably a stick shift, which, for people who aren't familiar or comfortable driving sticks, can result in lurching as the driver gasses it while popping the clutch. Still no excuse for that amazing display of idiotic fail, though. |

Moderatly funny video, but the phrase "Wow, just.. wow" should only be used when this is involved. |

| Lor M. Ipsum LoneVVolf: I like Pink Shirt Guy's move at the end, where he debates trying to CATCH the car rolling at him... Also, the lady standing directly in front of the automobile that has an obviously unskilled operator...these people are just as bad as the driver, imo. |

| Jocundry Honest Bender: I further don't understand how someone can EVER get out of the driver's seat of a car without setting the parking brake. It's 100% ingrained in my brain. Getting out of car? Parking brake. That's only if you have a stick shift. I've driven automatics for the last ten years. I almost never use the parking brake. But the way that car in the video rolls backward, I bet the woman was driving a stick. Or failing to drive a stick. |

| Honest Bender Jocundry: That's only if you have a stick shift. I've driven automatics for the last ten years. I almost never use the parking brake. I'm not a car guy, so give me some slack here, but it's my understanding that not using the parking break puts undo stress/wear on the transmission. |

I'd say whoever passed her on her driving test needs a swift kick in the balls. |

The weird thing is once I saw the beginning display of stupidity, I immediately guessed when she got out of the car that she forgot to put it in park. Although I pictured the door coming off completely and the car rolling into the white truck across the street. |
||
| ritalinchild 54
I think she took the guys wallet. My guess, it was a setup with a stolen car. |
||
| TrainingWheelsNeeded
my reaction... Oh my she came in hot, she'll back out and try again. What the hell, the whole driver side? You gotta be kidding me, what did she hit? Is that smoke? Oh please no, please not the door. You know what just stop, just get out of the car and stop moving. |

Too bad we don't have sound to go along with the vid. My guess is that she's driving a standard transmission car and the following happened: 1 - Stalled the engine after breaking too suddenly without downshifting when attempting to make that turn up the ramp. 2 - Had to restart her car (hence the period of inactivity as the car just sits there). 3 - Forgot that her wheels were already angled for a sharp turn. 4 - Applied more pressure on her gas pedal as she wanted momentum to get up said ramp. 5 - Slammed car into wall. 6 - Panicked, forgot how her legs worked and just focused on steering the car (and failing) instead of letting go of the gas or hitting the breaks. 7 - Slammed into unseen wall (from our POV). 8 - Still panicking, hurriedly exited car to check damage without using parking break (engine seems to be smoking, does that mean she didn't turn it off?). 9 - Car rolled away. |

You don't want the weight of your car resting on the transmission. FFS... where do people learn things that are this objectively incorrect? It's technically true. You don't want your transmission ripped from your car and jammed behind your wheels as a chock. That could damage it. |
