| Listen to R.E.M. guitarist Peter Buck's debut solo song. And then remind yourself that everybody in R.E.M. contributed vocals. Except Peter |

| Apos If there's a more listless tune about time travel,I haven't heard it yet... |
||
| TravisBickle62
If time travel is really possible we would have already heard the most listless tune about time travel because someone would have traveled to the future and brought it back to the past |

It's not often I listen to something and audibly react with a "meh". This was one of those times. |

| Notabunny So Love And Rockets and the Beach Boys got together to lose their enthusiasm? |

To heck with R.E.M. I just hope now that they are done, Bill Rieflin will go back to KMFDM were he belongs. KMFDM sucks :D |

| Evil-Imposter
I will check this out when I get home. If it is louasy as people are saying, I will be that much more sad about R.E.M.'s retirement. |

My favorite REM Song is actually sung by Mike Mills: Texarkana. |

| Mr_Fabulous
True Fact: I talked Peter Buck into buying his first CD player. |

SuburbanCowboy: My favorite REM Song is actually sung by Mike Mills: Texarkana. Lousy choice. Pick again. |

| Celerian rotorschnee: To heck with R.E.M. I just hope now that they are done, Bill Rieflin will go back to KMFDM were he belongs. KMFDM sucks :D I hear their music is sampled, totally fake And its done by machines, cause they don't make mistakes. |

I'm REM and you're just a farkin' captain! |

It's what the Cramps would sound like if the Cramps were boring and lame. |

Notabunny: So Love And Rockets and the Beach Boys got together to lose their enthusiasm? That should be the official blurb. |

Anyone who plays side projects with Robyn Hitchcock, produced iconic Uncle Tupelo albums and played on Replacements songs is fine by me. |

It sounds like a Flat Duo Jets demo song or something, but I'll still give the album a chance. Also, Bill Rieflin is too awesome for one band. I think he was best with Ministry, personally. He and Martin Atkins on the '92 tour were unstoppable! |

I think he was best with Ministry, personally. He and Martin Atkins on the '92 tour were unstoppable! Dueling drums on the Breathe video... YOU CANNOT BEAT THAT! I was looking at some REM Remembered magazine put out by Rolling Stone or something or another... and I am just looking for any mention of Bill. Barely anything.. just listed in the margins here and there as a "contributor" to an album. Bah! This man deserves WAAAYY more credit. |

Just listened to it. The comment about it sounding like the Cramps if they were boring? Yep - that. /still love the guy and his guitar playing though |

Since I'm in the process of putting together an R.E.M. tribute band at the moment, I'm getting a kick... |

My name is Buck and I like to...put out solo records now that R.E.M. called it quits! |
||
| ELF Radio
This makes me wish that Mike and Michael will get back together and record albums of breezy, keyboard-based pop music along the lines of Out of Time and Around the Sun, only way more breezy and fey. Better than this crud. |

| John Buck 41 I had nothing to do with this. |

No band had an influence on me more than REM. They were one of the first bands I got into as a kid, during the Out of Time era. I soaked up as much of the early catalog as I could. Because of the unintelligible and outright WTFness of Michael's lyrics early on, to this day, I hardly ever pay attention to lyrics in any song or genre and just hear the voice as another instrument. And, seeing a nebbish guy wearing glasses playing the hell out of the bass made we want to learn how to play bass too, seeing as how I was also a nebbish guy wearing glasses. Still am, to this day. Playing bass and wearing glasses. So thanks, Mike, Michael, Bill, and I guess Peter too. He always looked like a grumpy douche, but he came up with jangly riffs like nobody else. |

Buck's a talented guy, but also a renown asshole. Singing is not his strong suit. |
