It's been almost three years since they announced they had bought the rights to the character. Haven't they dealt with the legal quagmire yet?

Really? I think it's the best of the major Orlando parks. They did a good job with Jurassic Park and even though I'm not into Harry Potter, they did a fantastic job with that. And their Halloween Horror nights are awesome. The older Universal Park is a little dated.

they're pretty pathetic IP farms. DC hasn't seen significant output since the 40s and marvel the 60s/early 70s.

...If Marvel is "owned" by disney (it's complicated)... and they have the rights to all the back-logged stuff...

And both of those put together don't have half the box office revenue of the Avengers has already, and each had a budget 2/3 that of Avengers. Better distribution, promotion, access to markets, theaters, foreign markets, etc leads to more money to make the films. That doesn't necessarily lead to better films, but it leads to more films in the genre.

And the comic books - at least the superhero genre was dying in 2008. Now you've got DC Kids, Marvel Kids bringing up a fresh generation on superheros.

It's not what you remember, but it's at least there, and without Disney and Warner, they wouldn't exist.

I'd love to see Deadpool on 'It's a small world'.
