Police found several other guns in the house.

This is important because it has nothing to do with the story.

Parents of the victims declined to comment Thursday

And if they are smart, they'll keep quite and not press charges.
They could do a better job of parenting.
They should make the kids appologize, and then do his yard work.

Guns r cool man

Like any tool, they serve a purpose. Just don't let any tool have them.

But that violates freedoms and such.

I know, you're trotally right. But violent felons and crazy people are already prohibited to own firearms. I expect, by the time the trial is over, he will be considered one or both.

This makes us gun owners look bad - especially since they only turned around in his driveway. Kids can and have played in my driveway - and I have no issue with this (have steep driveway - they like to ride their skateboards down it)...just stay away from my cars. However - some neighborhood kids have golf carts and they tend to drive through my yard rutting it all up....i will admit that I've thought abuot shooting them for that. That pisses me off to no end. Perhaps just a pellet gun shot to the ass to get their attention.

Have made a bold claim that if i see them doing it again, i'm going to rut up their parents yard using my vehicle of choice to get even. Don't put it past me. Would be especially amusing since their dad seems quite anal about how their yard looks.

Hey everyone, before we start judging this guy for holding six children hostage, we should really find out if these kids were black or regular color. Also they may have an ice tea with them or possible some candy. I don't want to judge before all the facts are in evidence.

Everybody is so quick to crucify here. This story seems really one sided. How much you want to bet those kids were trolling, turning around in his driveway like clockwork. Not gentle turnarounds either, but the kind that leave rubber.

I hope you guys never get the sort of real life troll that likes to abuse his rights while staying completely on the side of the law, because frankly the police isn't going to see this as much more than a petty dispute and leave you to resolve it.

The fact that the other guy also reported the issue indicates that there's more to the story than is being reported here.

Exactly. Time to scale back the ownership/carry age.

It's a no-brainer considering how safe guns make us. Kids need to be safe, right?

Ok, genius, you lose your mind completely and threaten a bunch of kids. Now, if the 4 year old got up and was flailing around like little scared kids do sometimes, and you shoot the kid, then what? Shoot the rest and claim self defense?

Jeebus.

Such behaviour, even if occurring, does not create justification for use of deadly force.

So kids burning rubber on my driveway is a good enough reason to threaten a four to sixteen year old with a gun? Good to know.

Can't think of many reasons to justify his actions... unless, you know, he felt threatened.

4 year old children (at least one anyway) were present. The driver was a 16 year old male. Have you ever met a 16 year old male (in particular one with access to an ATV in a rural area) who wasn't a prick? I tend to side with the folks who say there is more to this story then we're being told.

I have a friend in Ohio with a 3/4 mile long gravel driveway who has had real trouble with moto kids and ATV drivers messing around on his property. It's all fun and games until someone gets hurt and some parent sues you.

There is NO REASON on earth why you should be pointing a weapon at a 4 year-old. None.

His weapons should be confiscated and he should be banned from ever owning a weapon of any sort again. He has demonstrated quite clearly he is incapable of safely handling a weapon.

And I believe most NRA members would agree with me. No one hates irresponsible use of firearms more than people who like guns.

Agreed.

Exception:

If it's a 4 year old Joffrey Baratheon......little f*cker is pure evil.

Yeah, like that he is nuts. Anyone who thinks they are legally and morally in the right to threaten toddlers with a gun is also the type who would expect the police to then come arrest the kids for turning in his driveway.

I have no doubt. However, I'd like to know what detail you think we could possibly be missing that could justify this:

Fulcher cocked the hammer on the revolver and pointed the gun at the driver's head and told him he'd be the "first to go." He kept his finger on the trigger.

Nope, that's a gator and a mule - which are both much more specialized than a traditional 4-wheeler. Is a Jeep an ATV? Hoe about an amphibious vehicle? I know you hillbillies like all your toys, but everyone thinks of a 4-wheeler when they hear "ATV". I could easily drive safely around with 20 people in my car if I owned a stretch limo, but I wouldn't just call it a "car."
