Captain Steroid: Kansas is a COMMUNIST hellhole? Does... does she even know what the word "Communist" even MEANS? O_o' Buddy, this is America. Nobody knows what "Communist" means. /Except those who escaped to here from the USSR or Maoist China |
||
| Mrtraveler01
Satanic_Hamster: O'Hara also used the radio show Friday to attack moderate senators for voting to increase education funding in the state, saying it was a "liberal" vote. What....? Unless you want to provide |

I don't understand how these people have no sense of perspective. Want to be super right wing? Okay. I can understand that. But we didn't have half the GOP screaming about communism 15 years ago. Things haven't gotten more communist. |
||
| El Pachuco
vygramul: So in a sense, Reagan did have an effect, because once someone realizes they're beaten, they're beaten. The Soviets had a different take on this, as they were actually the ones who who went through it, and they felt it was the "Truman Doctrine", developed by George F. Kennan that brought them down. When asked what effects Reagan's policies had on the Soviet Union, a Soviet Field Marshall replied, "If it wasn't for Reagan, we might have lasted another two weeks." |

Holy fark...this is someone who thinks that Sam Brownback is not conservative enough! /#*@^! //)@%^^^&!F+[ |

El Pachuco: When asked what effects Reagan's policies had on the Soviet Union, a Soviet Field Marshall replied, "If it wasn't for Reagan, we might have lasted another two weeks." The Soviet's didn't have Field Marshals. That was the position under the Czars. Soviets just had Marshal of the Soviet Unions. |
||
| Mugato El Pachuco: When asked what effects Reagan's policies had on the Soviet Union, a Soviet Field Marshall replied, "If it wasn't for Reagan, we might have lasted another two weeks." Luckily we had Reagan to plunge us into debt incomprehensible to the average human mind with military spending in order to show we had the bigger cocks than a nation that never really was ever going to attack us. And that brave economic model has been followed ever since. But the democrats are the party of rampant spending. |
||
| cc_rider So Brownbackistan is now a "Commie Hellhole"? Heh, She got the last part right. She kind of reminds me of Sharron Angle, being nuttier than squirrel shiat and all. |

When I first read about McCarthyism I couldn't believe people were that stupid and gullible. "Well," I thought, "at least we're past that crap." Now I have to figure out how to explain this shiat to my nephews. I've just about decided to go with, "People are stupid, sweetheart, and there's not a goddamn thing you can do about it because they not only like being stupid, they actually believe God wants them to be stupid. Stay the hell away from them, vote against them always, and sque-e-e-e-e-e-eze the trigger slowly if cornered by one. Aunt trivial's got your bail covered." |

If Kansas collapses it has nothing to do with their new tax laws. NOTHING! |

Except the story I just told you was Russian generals. Who went through it. In an unofficial venue. Who went through it. Twice. Because they like going through it. /I guess I should have put a date on the conversation, being from the Bush administration. The first one. The first Bush. Not the first of Bush II. //Meaning they went through it. |

I troll on the Tea Party Nation Forums. I seriously think you guys should join me. It is fun but also REALLY scary. The paranoia and rationalizations are amazing. The cognitive dissonance and groupthink/ confirmation bias is second to none. Join me sometime. They are short on trolls over there. |

| Dear Jerk
STAR bonds are a favorite whipping boy of Johnson County Republicans because poor Wyandotte county got Star bonds to build a museum, then located it inside of a Cabela's, in exchange for Cabela's taking care of upkeep. Normally, the Republicans in rich Johnson have no problem giving tax dollars to private businesses, but this development was a huge success for Wyandotte county, and now WyCo draws lots of shoppers from JoCo. It's funny when ideology gets so extreme that the ends meet. Democrats haven't been so hot on STAR bonds either. |

vygramul: cretinbob: eurotrader: A good argument can be made the Soviet Union fell because of a large central government.... Except it was the prolonged war in Afghanistan that bled them dry of cash....kinda like...... Their problems were systemic. The war in Afghanistan was not very expensive, relatively speaking. To blame it on Afghanistan is like saying a gambling addict who lost big in craps, blackjack, and roulette went broke because he blew his last $1000 on a slot machine. Now, the cleanup from and production lost due to Chernobyl, on the other hand... That was pretty damn expensive. |
