They DO NOT need five or six farking years to make an album. No way. It's because Maynard has so many side projects (APC and Puscifer) and the winery shiat that it takes so long. Personally, I'd prefer that a band take five or six years to make a quality album (and Tool is batting a thousand, imho) than phone one in every year to satisfy the masses... |

I suppose if "red or white" is as granular as you get, it is a pretty meaningless statement, but the idea that certain beverages pair better than others with certain foods is reasonably well supported, and the sort of thing that would respond well to even blind testing. For example: Pale lager with cheeseburger vs ultrahoppy American IPA with ice cream /Caveat: I think ultrahoppy American IPA is an abomination. |

They all get to work on side projects and spend time with family, then make an album when they feel like it. If they did nothing but Tool then they'd get sick of it and wouldve broken up years ago. So by all means, take your time boys. |

I think it perfectly captures the angst and horror and panic and delight that someone would feel if they think they've been chosen by aliens to deliver important information to the rest of humanity and they've been unable to write it down! OMG! That "guitar" solo is actually Maynard playing some kind of weird-ass instrument with his mouth, like he does on a couple other songs on the album. Anyway, I think of "Rosetta Stoned" less as a song and more as a piece of drama, a one man, one "act" play, so to speak, so it's unique and I love it. |

silvervial: KiTTeNs_on_AciD: silvervial: KiTTeNs_on_AciD: (EP) Opiate 1. Undertow 2. Aenima 3. Lateralus 4. 10,000 Days /lol wut? //Moran Yeah, scuse the fark out of me for accidentally typing three instead of four. IT'S STILL TOO FEW IN 19 YEARS, MORAN! Typo excuse won't fly here. You said "tool put out their first material, an EP no less, in '93". Their first EP came out in 92, first album in 93. Then you plainly typed the word t-h-r-e-e, not like you hit 3 instead of 4. You have no idea what you're talking about, this was no accident. You are obsessing over nothing. I didn't say I made a typo, I said I accidentally typed the word three instead of four. The discography I looked up had 1993 instead of 1992, go slash THEIR throats. /moran ...And since you're still sticking with '19 years' even after being corrected about the first release coming out in 92, not 93, you've made it abundantly clear that it was no accident. You completely omitted an entire album (of which there are only four) in a comment biatching about there being too few albums released for your liking, and going on to talk about real fans vs casual listeners..... That's not nothing, that's evidence of ignorance. |

Dougie AXP: Shakes999: Dougie AXP: Snapper Carr: Shakes999: StinkyFiddlewinks: He should buy everyone who got suckered into buying 10,000 Days a bottle of whatever they want. Pretty much. 10,000 days was awful. Rosetta Stoned is possibly the worst song theyve ever made. Not to mention the horrible guitar solo that seems to last 5 mins. It's not like he didn't warn you in advance. I disagree. I think Right in Two and Jambi are probably two of their greatest songs. Right in Two is actually the one track I like on that album. It is a great song. I just hope the next album is along the lines of Lateralus great. /They ALL have side projects //Maynard more than the others ///Adam is an artist, film maker and wrestling fan ////Danny plays in another band and plays a boat load of sports ////who the hell knows what Justin does Lateralus holds a special place in my heart! /so what you are saying is they have a functional open relationship? |
