| Lost Thought 00 It's a wine decanter for your fermented soy beans. Not terribly difficult to figure that out. |

| RoyBatty The iconic Kikkoman soy sauce bottle's gentle teardrop design was the result, in part, of the atomic bombing of Hiroshima Yeah, the article doesn't say anything like what the headline implies. |

| BarkingUnicorn O, Grey Lady, how far you have fallen. This is like a Cracked.com article without the page break. |

RoyBatty: The iconic Kikkoman soy sauce bottle's gentle teardrop design was the result, in part, of the atomic bombing of Hiroshima Yeah, the article doesn't say anything like what the headline implies. It does, but very indirectly. The man went into making things (design) because of the results he saw from the bomb drop. /In 1994, I was punched in the face in high school, resulting in a broken face, which resulted in 3 plates and 12 screws in my head. My likely plan of entering the military (probably ROTC) was derailed. After moving through various college programs for a decade, I am now a web manager. Therefore, the last website I put up was due to a punch in the face. //as is the fact that I'm on fark. |

Gough: Then why does it remind me of Walworth, WI?? (Iseewhatyoudidthere.jpg) And this: So. It's another example of 'Blame America first' then? |

| doglover But for a long time, some 1,000 years, the history of the Japanese people was very gentle. Just tell that to all the people Ieyasu Togugawa had to bury to finally win power over all Japan. And he's not even the bloodiest warlord they had back then. That was only 300 years back. |

That is interesting. No wait, the other one. Tedious. |

FTFA: "Of course, during the war, we were forced into acting differently. But for a long time, some 1,000 years, the history of the Japanese people was very gentle." [[Insert your favorite spit take image here]] There are only two periods in all of Japanese history that weren't continual warfare: The Tokugawa Shogunate, and post-WWII. That's it. |
