Hell yeah I did, thanks for that. It was great. It's not for everybody but everybody should watch it. The filmmakers have my permission to put that quote on the DVD cover.

I'm not paraphrasing when I say "form" the very beginning I could tell this "moive" wasn't worth the effort to watch, let alone create.

This. I just finished watching The Thirteenth Floor, which had a similar problem - the story worked, right up until they reveal that everything is made up and nothing matters. If the main character, from whose perspective the story is told, was never a real person, how can we believe anyone else was real?

You'll notice that the off-world replicants kicked Deckard's ass. What is the purpose of Deckard falling for Rachel? Why are we supposed to be moved by Batty saving Deckard, if it's just one android saving another, which destroys the idea of the replicant proving that he is more humane than the human?

From a narrative point of view, the story falls apart if Deckard is a replicant.

No, it doesn't.

Tyrell strived for "more human, than human." By creating Deckard as a replicant to challenge himself as a secret project he was able to prove his ability and solve the problem of roge replicants at the same time -- having replicants hunt themselves is a testament to corp efficiency and a commentary on humanity itself.

It fits perfectly with the overall narrative: Gaff is in on the "special project" (leaving the unicorn origami because he knew it was an implanted memory and his admonition to use his remaining time wisely as he takes Rachel away at the end), Deckard is emotionally clumsy throughout the film, he's not that much weaker than the replicants as he takes a lot of beatings and is still able to function. The monotony and darkness of the film suggests the question of wat really separates "us from them" in a dystopia where we're all cogs in a corporate machine asked to do things without evaluating the morality of it all "Have you retired a human by mistake Mr. Deckard?"

Moral of the story... BUY MORE FARKIN PAINT if you want to try some shiat like this!

I'm a big fan of indie re-interpretation projects, but um... that was not good. Impressionist, at best. Indistinguishable blobs of color most of the time. I'm sure that was a lot of work, but it needs some clarity. I give it a B-. I have that authority.
