True, but the Salsa Verde would be perfect.

I honestly didn't taste the Dorito at all in the 1st one. It just tasted like a taco to me.

Flamas?

That doesn't look like it's spelled correctly, it's too short.

Those Tapatío ones are delicious. I ate about half a bag before I knew it.

I was really, really sorry later, but at the time it was heavenly.

Why not just unwrap them and place them directly in the toilet, cut out the middleman.

So it's like the same damm 39 cent taco as the ones they usually sell, but with a bit of orange sprinkles on the shell for a buck and a half more... and it's a huge hit?

Damm people are stupid, top notch real tacos at a place like Robertos are 2 bucks, Carnitas, Asada, Lengua, whatever you want

By this time next year the tray and box will be made of Dorito as well, and they'll have a deal cut with local EMS to make sure at least one IV bag is warm, creamy nacho "cheese"

I like the idea. Now if they would improve their ground beef and maybe add some pulled pork with cilantro.

taco bell tacos are not 39 cents... give that up. that was a campaign about 8 years ago. the doritos locos taco runs about 1,19 with the regular being 99 cents. supreme 1.39.

they gave me an extra loco shell by accident and it had about 1/5th the salt/flavor of an actual Dorito,

i want doritos 3d's back........

Your point has merit in any part of the country without taco trucks. Really, it does. Taco Bell makes very tasty food and it's comparatively cheap. There are innumerable Mexican restaurants around here and very few of them can match the taste of lowly Taco Bell and they all cost more. Only in a proper taco truck can the price/performance ratio of Taco Bell be exceeded. (if it has some punny name, like "Mexican Sweet" or "Lettuce Make You Tacos", it's not a proper taco truck, it's a hipster truck. DO NOT BE FOOLED)

I tried a Doritos Locos taco one time, just to say I had tried one. They're too... busy. Too many different flavors, and not all of them complimentary to each other. It was a normal taco bell taco in a giant, folded round dorito. My overall impression was "meh."

I could barely taste the Dorito flavor in the new shell, so not worth the money for the "upgrade." I did however notice that after one bite the Dorito shell broke into about 15 pieces, making it a handheld taco salad. There's a reason they come in the fancy card-stock holder.

New flavors? I'll try one of each, but I'm guessing they'll be just as bland and fragile.

I feel that I'm justifiably contemptuous of people getting excited about anything Taco Bell makes considering that 12% of their beef includes:

Water, Seasoning [Isolated Oat Product, Salt, Chili Pepper, Onion Powder, Tomato Powder, Oats (Wheat), Soy Lecithin, Sugar, Spices, Maltodextrin, Soybean Oil (Anti-dusting Agent), Garlic Powder, Autolyzed Yeast Extract, Citric Acid, Caramel Color, Cocoa Powder (Processed With Alkali), Silicon Dioxide, Natural Flavors, Yeast, Modified Corn Starch, Natural Smoke Flavor], Salt, Sodium Phosphates. CONTAINS SOYBEAN, WHEAT

No their beef contains various parts of the cow. Those are seasonings and preservatives that make up the seasoned mix that ends up in the final product. The same stuff is likely to be found in the ground beef mix in any "authentic" place you might go.

I don't like Doritos that much to begin with. I certainly don't want that interfering with the flavor of my taco. So, unless someone tricks me into it, I doubt I will ever try one of those.
