WTF Indeed
You mean the majority of Americans understand that children get caught up in adult actions through no fault of their own, and that they deserve a shot at bettering themselves?

Sure, make fun of Republicans wooing but it's going to work.

Rubio is taking the next logical step and recommends that aliens enter the US illegally. No, not kidding:
Marco Rubio says he would come to the U.S. illegally if he had to

At a May 21 town-hall meeting, King compared immigrants to dogs, saying the government should select those to award legal status in the same way that owners choose the "pick of the litter."

Charming as always, Rep. King. Maybe you should be put down for distemper.

Luckily for him, the immigration laws puts preference on Rubio if he were coming here from Cuba so that he gets asylum and he'd get expedited processing for a green card.

You know what's unfair to legal immigrants? Preferential treatment of Cubans. I had to wait over a decade for my citizenship. Cubans get put in the front of the line before me, even if they got here way afterwards.

I come from a communist country! Was China in the early 1990s somehow less communist than Cuba?

American politics is about as desperate to appease Cuban exiles as it is to appease Israel in terms of "why the fark are we obsessing over non-Americans so much?"

Why didn't you just say you came from Cuba? Republican's can't tell the difference between asians and hispanics.

Well, yes, actually. China has hardly been communist since the early 80s.

Totalitarian, maybe...

But did your country PISS US OFF? Cause we really can't be responsible if you don't have your country of origin piss us off enough to create a spiteful immigration policy. You only have yourself to blame really. Next time try immigrating from a country that has a lot of politically relevant ex-pats.

This is likely one of the topics that is going to tear the Republican party in twain within the next couple election cycles, considering half the party doesn't even consider immigrants to be human beings.

I really don't think Obama's people were smart enough to deliberately intend this as an epic troll on the GOP, but god damn, the GOP is definitely dumb enough to take the bait.

By not saying if he'd rescind this order, Romney is going to let people guess :

* The immigrant community will guess we will rescind it
* The right wing will guess he won't rescind it

I believe that it was a conscious and deliberate move very much in line of supporting same sex marriage. All Obama has to do is find a few opinions w/in the GOP that diverge from the loudest derpers and somehow make that his own, then sit back and watch the mayhem unfold. Divide and conquer simply put.

Do you think Obama supporting similar to Rubio's plan and the backlash from the republicans hurts Rubio in 2016?

Romney just seems so confused and mystified why people aren't worshiping him. I have to say I'm enjoying watching him squirm.

I used to think that maybe he was a shrewd and unethical businessman at Bain, dreaming up schemes to rake in the cash with any costs to others. Now I'm suspecting he merely used others' ideas, given how flat footed he is. There are just too many conflicting strategies being pushed on him from different directions and he's melting down like butter on hot popcorn.

You could be right, I'm not sure about that, but I think we both agree that the Repubs are falling for it (intended or not) hook line and sinker.

Don't worry, once they gain complete control of all three branches they'll throw off all pretenses of tolerating Catholics to make sure every Southern Baptist/Born Again never votes for another party ever again.

The White House action angered the anti-immigration wing of the Republican Party. U.S. Congressman Steve King, an Iowa Republican, said he intends to sue Obama to suspend the directive. At a May 21 town-hall meeting, King compared immigrants to dogs, saying the government should select those to award legal status in the same way that owners choose the "pick of the litter."

It's official. Steve King is the most vile piece of shiat in Congress. FOAD, asshole.

How I summarize the immigration issue for my conservative friends:

"We need more immigrants, because you old white guys are obviously sh*t out of ideas."

It makes Rubio look worse as a potential VP candidate which helps Obama in Florida.

True. This tactic can be a pretty effective way to snipe potential VP candidates.

Really, you don't think so? I mean, this was the guy who interrupted Donald Trump's shiatty TV show to announce the death of Osama Bin Laden. This is also the guy who beat the Clinton Machine. Obama plays hardball.

Meanwhile, I went to the local public school to register my two children in public school for the first time. They have previously attended private school. One of my children happens to be an international adoptee. The school refused to allow me to register this child. They state that I have to take my child and my child's' documents to a county international center to have her evaluated to determine whether she can be allowed to attend the local school.

We adopted this child at four months of age. This child only speaks English and this child's' IBST reading score is 98. My child is an American citizen. I have a state issued birth that lists me as her mother, but I'm going to have to jump through who knows how many hoops to register my child at school because people are foolish enough to believe that immigrants are ushering in an American Armageddon.

But it's not racism or discrimination of any sort. Oh no, there's no discrimination in America: none whatsoever.
