Gyrfalcon: Non-violent doesn't mean he's not a danger to the public. Based on his mugshot, I'm guessing he has a meth lab in his basement. Or did. Until it blew up.

You don't understand Santa Cruz. That kind of face is almost too normal.

Spend a few hours on Pacific Ave, and then report back. Be sure to keep an eye out for the guy in the pink tights and umbrella.

It doesn't mention if there was a fat man that pointed and wanted to sit on him. Also I wonder if he was unscannable?

ZAZ: I understand when workers in office buildings and residents of apartment complexes ignore the rules saying never let anybody in without checking ID, retina scan, DNA, fingerprints, and references. You'd think jail workers would at least try to think about their job.

People, in general, and everywhere, are farking morons that don't give a shiat about shiat.

Then why the f*ck are you spending money to lock him up?

"Police arrested him on suspicion of providing a false name to authorities"

Lying to cops? That's a jailin'.

What, did he say his name was Gene Masseth?

A public employee fired? Not a chance. S/he will be suspended with pay and go to Hawaii.

He will be demoted to blue waffle inspector until he quits.

I didn't know what that was. So I looked it up. Now my penis is on strike until further notice. Good going, asshole.

Okay, could somebody, in as SFW/SFL way as they deem fit, explain this to the rest of us who do have a morbid curiosity but do not feel like playing Google Seppuku, English Version?

I understand that Santa Cruz is a drug haven, at least when I lived up there. So why couldn't all those sunburns be covering for meth-lab catastrophes?

I will have to go look for the guy in pink tights.

that's sort of like outlawing alcohol then calling the purveyors of bathtub gin a menace to society.
it's the authoritarian tendency to prohibit purely private and personal behavior that creates the danger int he first f*cking place.
then the gat00 types argue that the police repression is justified by the very chaos their policy created.

There's like 20 law offices on Pacific. There are people in suits there every day.

The guy in pink hasn't been around recently (that I've seen). Also, it seems he isn't actually crazy, the whole thing started as a meditative slow walk, that he decided to jazz up with the costume at some point.

smokedtrout: HA!! suspicion....SUSPICION?

What incentive was there to turn himself in? Dude may deserve some jail time, but at least drop the escape charge since A: it was your mistake and 2: he turned himself in.

Incentive: Lighter sentence, not being beat down to the ground by the cops, etc...

Suspicion: He hasn't been convicted of it yet, plus there's the possibility that his legal defense will say that since it was an employee who let him out - with no disguise, false ID, hiding, or even verbal engineering, that he didn't 'break out' of anything.

Yea, I remember the production company had the "Welcome to Santa Carla" sign up on West Cliff for weeks. Confused the shiat out of a lot of people.

Adding to the confusion, when they asked if Monterey was Hawaii and I said it was Catalina :-)

They want to lock up an inconvenience to society but let congress, (who's a real danger to society), go free. Gotcha.
