If all sports analysts did was spit out facts and actually analyze the intricacies of the game, then there wouldn't be much controversy to get people riled up (and also the average viewer probably doesn't know or care that much about the details). It isn't about being right, or actually analyzing anything. Its about what ESPN can do to get more viewers which leads to more money. Simple s**t people.

BTW, I'm shocked that they're letting this video get out - there was more information about the sport of basketball in that clip than I saw in several years watching ESPN coverage of the sport.

Oh don't get me wrong I'm not defending ESPN or Skip's complete and utter failure to even fake that he knows what he is talking about. The best was Cubes asking about defense, and Skip responding with 'so and so was SUPPOSED to...'.. How the fark do you know that? Maybe under the current scheme, so and so was supposed to be doing just what he did. Explain 'well, they were playing an up zone and with this rotation, he should have moved to cover....' Its a debate, jackass. 'Just because' or 'he was the closest defender' doesn't cut it, esp. when debating somone who obviously knows a few things.

Also, I doubt there are many pro franchise owners who understand the strategy and gameplay at the same level as Cuban. I'm sure there are a few, but its a small club.

That was nothing but class. It's too easy to give in to frustration in a situation like that, always nice to see when they go above that.

I find ESPN useful. When I am at work, I leave it on for my parrots, so they have mindless, pointless banter to listen to. Granted, I just need to put NPR on for them and mute the TV.
