| Unfreakable desertgeek: Modmins, hurry and green this thread. Kickoff is in 4 minutes! A bit late today, but it's on. Also, I just got myself a beer and wondered if we had a thread. Saw we didn't, fixed it. |

Smooth guys. |
| picodenico
Small European countries should always be up for grabs in matches like this. And their colonized islands. |
| eddievercetti
Out of bounds ball, kick it to the field, kick out of bounds again. BRILLIANT! |
| Langston picodenico: Small European countries should always be up for grabs in matches like this. And their colonized islands. If Argentina beats England in the World Cup, they fet the Falklands |

Norfolking Chance: Can i be the first to say NIAC He was the only Frenchman who wasn't singing La Marsaillese. The whole of Spain wasn't singing either. I like it when teams sing their national anthems with pride. |

| expobill
vamos Espana! |
| Lord Jubjub OK, somebody explain to me why the French left side on defense never seems to have a defender there. Spain has put several crosses from that area with wide open players. |
| TheLopper
I just can't bring myself to root for France. /unless they're playing Italy |
| martissimo Wouldn't mind seeing Les Bleus get past this Spanish team, but really only care about tomorrow. FORZA AZZURRI |
| picodenico
Damn....nicely done. |

| yookaloco
France surrenders the first goal /obligatory. Especially since the goalie is wearing all yellow |
| Fat Old Broad
Man, that's beautiful football. |
| Lord Jubjub This could be a blowout. |
| HaywoodJablonski
Dammit, missed the goal. Go France! |
| expobill
jordie Alba just ran right past the french defender, and set a great pass to Alonso |
| Now That's What I Call a Taco!
Lord Jubjub: OK, somebody explain to me why the French left side on defense never seems to have a defender there. Spain has put several crosses from that area with wide open players. Meh, it's not like that will hurt them against a team like Spa OH SHI-- |
| cendojr
That was very nice. |
| eddievercetti
That was a sweet goal /HERE COMES THE SPAIN!!! |
| I_Love_Cheesecake
I root for both France and Spain, but want the latter to win, not least because I want to see the farking Portuguese lose - and Spain is just the team to do it. |
| Herman Borrach
Lord Jubjub: OK, somebody explain to me why the French left side on defense never seems to have a defender there. Spain has put several crosses from that area with wide open players. I've been asking myself the same question. Spain is advancing mostly on center-left. Maybe the overload is to defend against the perceived greater threat on that side. I follow the game closely enough to know the teams' personnel. |

Field Goal |
| kevinatilusa
That free kick wasn't quite as beautiful as Spain's goal. |
| Brian Blessed's Bastard Boy Spain looks like the only team that can stop Germany. Do not want to see a blowout in the final, but if anyone else besides Spain gets there against Germany, then it probably will be. |
| Herman Borrach
Correction: I DON'T follow the game closely enough to know the teams' personnel. |
| picodenico
Damn, it's nice to have a really fast internet connection and a big TV to stream the game on. |
| Herman Borrach
Damn. Yellow card for that? |
| picodenico
Wow, nice shot. |
| Lord Jubjub Iffy yellow card. definite penalty. and the free kick. . . . . . .goes for a corner. |
| sephjnr
Herman Borrach: Damn. Yellow card for that? Textbook 'accidental' block from someone who's otherwise beaten. Yellow is correct. |
| Lord Jubjub I see that the French defender on the left side is playing a bit more aggressive. Might be a bit late for that now. |
| Langston Spain needs more free kicks outside the penalty area so that Nasri can block them with his face. |
| expobill
Lord Jubjub: I see that the French defender on the left side is playing a bit more aggressive. Might be a bit late for that now. there is plenty of time left |
| ScouserDuck
Langston: Spain needs more free kicks outside the penalty area so that Nasri can block them with his face. Spain will have to miss kick that pretty badly for that to happen. |
| Leader O'Cola
picodenico: Damn, it's nice to have a really fast internet connection and a big TV to stream the game on. well ..... |
| eddievercetti
That was so close |
| Lord Jubjub sephjnr: Herman Borrach: Damn. Yellow card for that? Textbook 'accidental' block from someone who's otherwise beaten. Yellow is correct. He was the last defender? Yeah, still pretty weak contact, though. |
| expobill
