Having been forced to watch and hate many of his movies on high school band bus trips, I was pleasantly surprised at Punch Drunk Love. His fits of juvenile rage actually serve a story with a plot, rather than being throwaway slapstick.

Happy Gilmore was a pretty good flick, subby. You just pulled landscaping duty!

That's only because you hate Sandler's characters so much you want to say exactly what Downey does. Just like when Bob Barker punches out Happy, same thing and you LOVE IT, although I'll admit there are plenty of moments in Happy Gilmore that were funny stupid. Adam Sandler rode the dumb butt monkey schtick too long, though they're great movies for little boys and being high!

The Wedding Singer wasn't that bad, imho. Cheesy, but the only Sadnler movie that didn't have moments that made me want to take an ice pick to the frontal lobe. The Waterboy make up for all of that, though.

Boris S. Wort: The only AS movie I've ever seen was Happy Gilmore, and I just remember it as one long, unfunny, Subway commercial.

I think I'll pass on the rest of that smug prick's schtick.

Get stoned. You'll suddenly understand. Abominations like Half Baked and Grandma's Boy will become clear, as well.

I do have to see Reign Over Me someday. I have a feeling it would just make me depressed, but that's not a knock.

It was a whole lot funnier back when Miami Vice reruns were on USA and TNT for 6 hours every day. But you can say that about most dated movie gags.

In fairness, Happy Gilmore makes golf a lot more entertaining than it really is. And I don't think that Happy Gilmore is particularly entertaining.

Some people like the movie Big Daddy. I thought it was alright. Happy Gilmore was funny. I don't get Adam Sandler hate.

Julie Bowen was STUNNING in that white lingerie outfit. The movie is worth renting for that alone.
