| I Have The Touch of a Shocked Monkey
Watching Happy Gilmore inspired to me to watch The Price Is Right for the first time. However, I'm unsure if that counts as hopeless or not. |

By the way, FSN showed that the Happy Gilmore swing actually does work, for exactly the reasons you thought it would - more deliverable momentum. They got Padraig Harrington to try it, and he was adding nearly 10% to his average distance, but it was far more inaccurate. |

I actually thought Adam Sandler movies were good. . . when there were only a couple of them. If you see only one Adam Sandler movie in your life and you don't have a bug up your butt, there should be no shame in thinking it's a decent comedy movie. The problem with Adam Sandler is that he only makes one movie. |

| alwaysjaded Happy Gilmore was the only Adam Sandler movie that didn't give me utter hopelessness and desolation. |

Happy Gilmore had two of the greatest bit actors in the business. Bob Barker and the white haired caddy boy. Caddy boy went on to be a research scientist. He is doing amazing things in some field. Bob Barker went on to nail anyone with a wayward pussy. |

I bet the club manufacturers love that movie. I can't imagine how many replacement clubs people bought after breaking their old clubs trying to emulate the movie. |

Mega Steve: I liked Little Nicky. There. I said it Well, me too. Honestly, I liked both Happy Gilmore and Billy Madison, the rest is pretty awful... /Eh, Wedding Singer had a nice soundtrack... |

He has made other good movies besides Happy Gilmore. Most of his movies are dumb, but he has done some good work. |
||
| Sgt Otter GAT_00: vodka: I like the The Wedding Singer too Who doesn't like the Wedding Singer? That movie is awesome. "Hey, remember Miami Vice? No, you're not getting an actual joke. Just laugh at the fact we referenced it!" |

Happy Gilmore was farking great. My dad's a huge (old fart) golfer, and he farking loves it, too. HG and WS. The rest, eh. |

dragonchild: The problem with Adam Sandler is that he only makes one movie. Two. The silly comedy, and the weird random surprising one, like 'Punch Drunk Love.' Which is wonderful, and hardly a "Happy Gilmore" clone. /Liked 'Little Nicky' too //Happened to be in Grand Central on the day the filming was taking place there. Only time I've seen a movie being filmed. Was interesting. |

Bea Arthur. Outstanding. |

Performing the Happy, when executed properly, isn't all that bad. The extra momentum helps. |

fusillade762: Adam Sandler movies have inspired me to not watch Adam Sandler movies. Then in a roundabout way, it has brought you something besides utter desolation/hopelessness. /hate Adam Sandler |

| Mentat Happy Gilmore and Bill Madison were both great. Not every movie has to be Citizen Kane. |

| God-is-a-Taco Screw you, subby. Billy Madison, Happy Gilmore, and to a lesser extent, The Waterboy, were good movies. Sandler should have stopped there, but they still seem to make a profit so whatever. |

Happy Gilmore was the reason, I decided to never take up golf. Despite the fact that my very good fastpitch hitting would've almost certainly transferred into good driving ability (as it did for others on the team) I never would've been able live down the name. /Gilmore |

The only AS movie I've ever seen was Happy Gilmore, and I just remember it as one long, unfunny, Subway commercial. I think I'll pass on the rest of that smug prick's schtick. |

And here I was, thinking I must be the only person in the world who detests Adam Sandler movies - because, otherwise, why would they keep making them ? Thank you, Fark. |

Scratch golfer at age 7? They must have short courses. No 7 year old could shot par on a 6700 yard course. He have to channeling Moe Norman. |
