The old "good corp, bad corp" routine.

Fox News is, of course, going to be in the "entertainment" division.

Murdoch will be chairman of both companies. How exactly will that be splitting them up?

And the empire begins to crumble. I wouldn't be surprised to see the "good" portion of the company being taken over by other investors not named Murdoch in the near future.

So they're splitting it into publishing and broadcast/video. Which side gets Myspace? And how will this matter, if Murdoch is still running both shows?

So it's like the AOL/Time Warner merger in reverse?

I'm no expert on the issue but I've read that for years the company as a whole has been making less money than it should due to the political spin they try to push. I don't see how Ailes will help in that regards.

The entertainment branch of News Corp will be much more profitable if the company didn't push the political agenda that it does.

They announced this about 15 minutes after the "Obamacare" ruling. All the other networks stayed on healthcare, but Fox repeated a couple R-congressperson statements, then immediately switched to Murdoch. LOL.

Is this done because of that whole News of the World thing and the investigations that went deep into fox news?

I'm guessing if they separate the two media types, when one sells poisoned milk to schoolchildren, the other can deny all knowledge
