Dallas is getting an $8 mil trade exemption? That is more interesting to me

Is this the new Fark bit, just greenlighting random items about sports transactions with the headline simply stating the transaction itself?

Answer: Kardashian. I am not sure why I feel anomosity towards the Kardashians, but I wish Lamar didn't land back in LA. I'd rather see her stuck trying to extend her fifteen minutes in Cleveland, Memphis, or Milwaukee

He'd just cry again and play like shiat, or she'd divorce him and blame everyone else for not paying attention to her. A fame whore family will never change it's insatiable need for being fame whores.

Eh, he's too old for Cleveland, we're rebuilding almost exclusively through the draft. The only player on the team over 30 is Luke Walton, and he's only there because we agreed to take on his contract in exchange for LA's 1st round pick. By the time we've got a full team together and able to contend again, Anderson Varejao will be gone and we'll be a team of 21-24 year olds.

For some reason I thought this was about Greg Oden. And all I could think was 'WTF? Doesn't someone have to be employed to be traded?'

It would make more sense for Donald Sterling to take the cash amount of money being spent on this acquisition and build a bonfire out of it.

Guy's an idiot and deserves to spend the rest of his career with the Bobcats after what he did in Dallas. You play in the farking NBA. You don't have real problems and you have nothing to mope about. Especially when you get traded to the farking defending champs. It's not like they shipped him to Toronto.

This. I hope we crush them every time we play them this season. What a waste of space.

I think Lamar Odom was complicit in some horrible scheme to screw over Cuban.

Is Darth Vader the GM for the Clippers? I mean, he's the only one I know who asked for a Wookie to be brought to him...

It was inexcusable that he quit on Dallas, but you should read up on some of the real problems that you don't think he has.

It's not even so much that, dude's clearly got some severe depression going on. He needs medication, and he needs it soon. Frankly, I'm surprised that Dallas didn't push more for it.

She'd just pull the same thing Kendra Baskett did when Hank was traded to Minnesota, move to LA anyway, and make him absentee husband during the season.

Brain chemistry doesn't give a shiat about your life. If it's gonna fark with your thinking and emotions, it's gonna fark with your thinking and emotions.

That I'm not going to argue with because I have experience with others who have gone through it. That being said, he's still supposedly a professional athlete who sure doesn't act like a professional. You got traded, deal with it, whether it's therapy or meds. It seems pretty clear that he didn't do either thing, or it's not depression and he's just a whiny biatch. How many athletes get traded and are pissed, but go to the new team and still play at the level they're expected to, or even better? I'm sure there are some who don't, but the vast majority do. You don't like it, quit the game and get the wookie pregnant.

Eh, not saying he doesn't have problems or doesn't suffer from some sort of mental disorder. Traumatic events happen to us all though, it's part of life and you deal with it as best you can. Most of us still manage to go out and manage to be professionals. With the resources at his disposal I'm rather surprised he couldn't get help and get his shiat together. Good riddance, he was a complete turd here in Dallas. Hope he gets the help he needs, but he flat out stole from the Mavs and Mark Cuban.

If Dallas didn't know that Odom was a well known mental case with recent problems, a long off season to waste away, and someone who only wants to play in beach towns with his fame seeking wife, then they should question the competence of their pro scouts. But it's not like it was the worst and most expensive acquisition in NBA history like Mavs fans believe it is. People actually traded for Arenas and Rashard Lewis with their monster contracts, after all.

Plus they even managed to get a trade exception out of a player they didn't want when teams could have waited for him to hit the market when they didn't exercise his team option. Usual level of Clippers incompetence? Probably.

In a related story, the Lakers acquired Odom from the Mavericks for cash.

Agreed. But the dude did have a pretty shiatty childhood.
A lot of your foundation for adulthood comes from those years. Some people just can't mentally handle the things that have happened to them in life.

I'm just going to use this thread to say DION FARKING WAITERS?????

Should have just traded back with Houston to grab the "NCAA 6th man of the year". We just used two first round picks on Shawn Bradley and Rodney Stucky.

Maybe not the most expensive, but definitely the worst in terms of value perceived or expected vs. value received.

Dude farking quit. Period. I've never heard of another instance where a team basically deactivated a player under similar circumstances. If I had been Mark Cuban, I would have drawn and quartered his worthless ass mid-court in AA Arena.
